This is where Hibbert should be fed down low just to keep these folks honest. All that mass should be used... Bass and this Beast I keep hearing at the 4. I'm not saying we're better but I'd like to see ours attack theirs. We have nothing to lose...
Russell......Parker Clarkson....Green Bryant......Leonard Randle......Aldridge Hibbert.....Duncan Williams....Mills J. Brown....Ginobili Young(?)....Anderson Bass.........West Black........Diaw They're definitely better, but I like our chances on some nights with our younger legs. The backup SF might change up a bit. We might go with a guy like Caron if we can convince him to sign here and as much as I like Jabari, we could upgrade there too. I'd be more comfortable with Ellington, but we'll have to wait and see what we've got. Our future is bright. If San Antonio loses Parker for a stretch and when they lose Ginobili and Aldridge for their annual games off, we've got a sliver of hope there.
I'm anxious to see if Mitch can pull off a few more moves, moving guys like Kelly or Sacre, S&Ts, vet min guys, etc.
Lakers in 6? LA Times headline: 'Karma Strikes As Red Hot 8th Seed Lakers Stun Aldridge And Spurs In 1st Round'
Wow....David West is a perfect fit for the Spurs. Jeebus: Parker/Mills Green/Ginobli Leonard/Anderson Aldridge/West/Diaw Duncan/ Their 8-9 man rotation is awesome. Who the hell is going to play backup center?
Depth has to be a concern, but if more guys like West are just looking to win, me thinks they will be OK
The Cleveland LeBrons were top fav in the Vegas odds for 2015-2016. Wonder how much this has tilted in the Spurs favor.
Holy crap the Spurs are stacked!! As much as I'd hate for Lebron to win another title, I don't want the Duncan-era Spurs to get that 6th ring over the Kobe-era Lakers. And really, other than that, I have nothing against the Spurs. It's almost impossible to hate a team that's so freakin professional in their approach.
Do we know what these deals are yet? Hibbert in / Majok and Young out? Bass in / nothing out? (FA signing?) Williams in / ? (FA signing?)
Bass was signed as a Free Agent. The amount is undisclosed right now. Apparently, the amount was $2.8 million dollars which came from our room exception. Williams was signed as a Free Agent. 3 years $21 million dollars.
As far as Hibbert goes, I know there were second round pick(s) involved; however, the thing that still needed to be worked out was Hibbert's trade kicker. There was also talk that Sacre/Kelly could be headed to Indiana.
The terms of Bass' contract are still a work in progress because it is pending other Lakers deals, a source said. The Lakers have been aggressive over the weekend, agreeing to deals with Bass and Toronto Raptors free-agent guard Lou Williams and negotiating a trade for Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert. As the Lakers work to clear cap space to sign free agents and absorb Hibbert's contract, Nick Young is a strong candidate to be unloaded, sources told Yahoo Sports. The Lakers are finalizing details to acquire Hibbert, and there remains a possibility Los Angeles could send a player to the Pacers in the agreement, sources said. The Lakers and Pacers had agreed on a future second-round pick as compensation for Hibbert and his $15.5 million 2015-16 salary getting absorbed into Los Angeles' salary-cap space. The Lakers are exploring trades for Young, Ryan Kelly and Robert Sacre. Sacre and/or Kelly are possibilities to go to Pacers, sources said. Young and Ryan Kelly and Sacre very much on block...Sacre and/or Kelly are possibilities to go to Pacers in the Hibbert deal. Bass, 30, averaged 10.6 points and 4.9 rebounds while playing in all 82 games for the Boston C Bags last season. The 10-year NBA veteran played for the C Bags the past four seasons. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/source...n-bass--could-trade-nick-young-003359688.html
From the Mavs forum I linked earlier If Lakers try any funny stuff beyond asking for a 2nd round pick then if I were Cuban I would offer Lin what we can and cross my fingers but I would instantly call and or fly an offer out to Robert Upshaw and it would be a 3 year contract on a rookie vet min and tell him its sign it now or never. We need you and this is a 3 year contract not an invite to a camp. That I would do just to piss off every Laker fan and their management if they fail to do a S&T. It's only money and we could always have team options in there so he did not count against the cap. Reason I offer a 3 year is he gets to the money faster and if for some reason he did stay in LA and was contributing he would not let them put a 4th year on him at the rookie scale. Either way we send a sign to them payback is coming and you can expect us to target all your free agents next year as well.
so that means they dont think much of deandre that "fan" sounds a lot like mark cuban oh well douche fans for douche owners
Still butt hurt about the Barea clothesline from Bynum, are we? Mavs fans should know Lakers fans wanted to both literally and emotionally disown Bynum after that incident.
