Mitchell is going to NYC. They obviously don’t need Randle and Donovan already said he wanted to be there.

Don’t know if it’s Randle they need but they do need a front court presence

randle might fit pretty well next to mobley. they can move allen for a wing player (ingram?) and be in business.

This guy is such as A-hat. He must have gotten hurt by the Lakers at some point, he is not important enough for me to remember. Dude never has won a championship and is just an old bitter man. He can go F himself. Plus, I went to say that to him on X and all his posts are locked down. Double F him! A troll who cannot take the heat but dishes it out ad nauseum.

Their fit may not be great but some players are probably under-valued relative to talent right now: (from multiple factor under-performance, personal issues, etc.)
    Randle
    Giddey
    Garland

Come to mind: Gordon was an underperformed as well so trying to find guys like him with athletic ability/defensive chops where I would go. Giddey is interesting as on another team and if you keep him away from underage girls is a talented guy.

randle's been on my radar all year. just feel like he's going out for something ny wants, and the team he goes to may not want him, but lots of teams could use him. he's much more respectable defensively now, and his offense has also grown over time. good buy-low candidate on the secondary trade market. i actually wouldn't mind trying him with lebron and AD, tbh. i'd prefer jerami grant if we go for another 3/4 type, but randle could work i think.

I honestly think the Knicks should just keep Randle and try to get Bridges with the Bojan contract + picks. Lean into the depth and toughness rather than trading multiple important guys for Mitchell. If they could basically swap Bojan for Bridges (who knows if the Nets would deal with them at all), I honestly think they could make the Finals without the second "star". I don't think the C Bags have the staying power that some think.

I kind of like the Randle/AD fit, but the LeBron/Randle/AD fit would be awkward IMO. I'm not opposed, it would just take some good coaching to sort out. But from a talent perspective, Randle is probably about the best talent we could realistically bring in this summer.

According to NBA insider Jovan Buha of The Athletic, Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell is the Los Angeles Lakers‘ number one trade target.

yeah, i kept meaning to mention that gilbert was a big reason for the cp veto, and he doesn't like us. would shock me if he'd allow mitchell to come here. this is on top of all the other stuff.

i think we'll bid high on mitchell just to make sure nobody gets him for nothing, but our real target is probably dejounte or trae.

I get Gilbert being pissed at LeBron after The Decision. But he went back and won them a title against a 73-9 team lol. They've won one playoff series without LeBron this century. Get over it at this point.
