Seems like a good kid. Probably comes from a good family.

If Bronny wants to “only be considered based on his merits,” then nobody would be talking about him at all. Who is the last player that didn’t even average 5ppg in college that anyone would have on their board and wasn’t already a dominant player on defense?
    I’ll wait.
I hope the kid can develop into a real NBA player someday, but we all know the reason as to why he’ll be drafted.

Coming from one of LeBron’s besties? Okay.
    Unbiased opinions actually mean something.

I would be fine with him as well, even though you can’t teach foot speed either.
    Just ask DLo.

Wait- two guys who do this for a living are all of the sudden not credible?
What do they have to gain from their comments?
    Come on man.

absolutely. though i wouldn't call clingan a speedster, and people want to draft him in the lotto.

i think lots of guys do this for a living, and they're unsurprisingly split on a mid-to-low-tier talent who happens to be a huge story.

i'll gladly burn a second rounder on bronny in the hopes he's gpII/melton. it's not a big loss if he isn't.

No man, that's not what I'm saying. How many scouts were at the combine? He talked to 2 of them and called it a day, with “The Truth” for a headline.

Okay, so only the super positive scouting reports on the kid are credible.
    Got it.
Anyway, I’m not saying I wouldn’t burn our super late pick on him. I just won’t expect much from the kid for a couple of seasons if we do.
    Get ready for JHS 2.0.
The collective here has been so patient with him.

i believe that two scouts said that. and that other scouts probably agree. i also believe that still other scouts have positive opinions. this can all be true.

what i think LT is saying is the story itself was a weird kinda hit job. who goes and finds two guys who don't like a borderline prospect and turns it into an article?

i expect very little from any 19/20 year old rookies in their first two years.

i can't control what other people do, as evidenced by:

i think people will be much easier on him because there won't be obvious guys selected right behind him who come in and have an impact right away.

i like his hoop iq on film, and i like his competitiveness/confidence.

here's where i'll duck tomatoes: if jhs stayed in school for three years, he'd be this guy on steroids, imo.

Listening to Pincus on Buha's pod. We have $7m we can spend before the end of June in a trade (not to match salaries). This includes what we are in position to spend on a draft pick. So if we wanted, we could send Toronto $7m to buy the 31st pick if we were so inclined.
