I’d take Andre Drummond back in a heartbeat. Still would love for us to draft Edey if he’s available in the first round.

Jokic was just incredible today. 40 points 13 assists 0 TO. So much for Minny being the best defense, but you can't really stop him. We are witnessing an insane level of play from him that few have matched.

I blame Shaq. Guy has turned it up a level after he told him that SGA was the MVP to his face.

Things hit differently, when the refs allow more physical contact.

KCP is an average NBA shooting guard but on a good team with playmaker he's an absolutely terrific roleplayer. Very good defender, good shooter, athletic, etc.

Paradox of the NBA: non star players who help good teams vs bad teams are sometime completely different.

Rick Fox category for me. Possibly Josh Hart. Solid NBA player of all on their own, but when plugged into the right roll, magic x 3.

i never trusted conley to finish the season, and i thought it would happen sooner than this.

once again in the nba playoffs we have guys dropping like flies at crucial times. this year, it's a bunch of calf strains (read: legitimate fear of achilles tears).

Not of fan of Malone and Murray but I like the fact the league is dominated by a big team with a traditional offensive big .

Gobert AND Kat are the perfect example of what's wrong with today's NBA : 7 footers who can't feast on defensive switches/score on opponent guards and wings .

KAT is a 7 feet DLO , so soft .

One thing I didn't understand is why Sota kept screening with Gobert as : Denver will rightfully be happy to let Gobert play 4 on 3 so they trapped Edwards every time

AND Edwards wasn't going to pass to Gobert . It totally killed Sota offense

This feels like playing against a chess GM who starts without a rook just to give you a chance, only to demolish you afterwards. Denver goes 0-2, and is now going to reverse sweep the best defense in the league. Oh well. We knew Jokic was that good. Better him than Boston.

yeah, as i've said here, i think murray's overrated and would be an afterthought without jokic. malone's a good coach but just kind of a j******.

like dlo, i thought he'd turned a corner, but he didn't. very curious to see what minny does in the offseason. what can you get for towns and from whom?

minny is over the apron without having signed monte morris or kyle anderson. and maybe the plan was to let them walk anyway, but reducing KAT's salary impact and breaking that into two good-fitting role players (and maybe recovering a couple draft assets lost in the gobert trade) would seem like a good move.

despite his playoff struggles, i think plenty of teams would give up some goods for towns, and minny would be wise to take the offer at this point.

best bet is that teams will just roam off gobert off the ball if he's not the screener, so his defender is mucking up your action no matter what. i'm not an nba coach, but i'd probably just park him in the dunker spot and live with it. at least if guys leave him there he's going to gobble up offensive boards, etc.

I just don't see how or why they'd be interested in our deal. It can easily get topped. I don't see him pushing for it over NY either.

NY doesn’t seem like a good landing spot. They have a ball dominant star who plays the same position in Brunson.Either his or JB game would suffer IMO.Lakers seem like the better fit short and long term.Although others may have better offers all he needs to say is he won’t sign there and the deal is dead.

i agree that the chemistry/fit is good in the ny back court, but he's CAA (they run ny like klutch runs us) and wanted ny in the past. it wouldn't surprise me at all.

i also read somewhere that miami has interest and bam and mitchell are pals. miami doesn't have any more picks than we do, but they have herro, who's probably more interesting than rui/gabe as the foundation pieces.

i don't know; i guess if he says he won't sign anywhere but with us, it could happen, but i could see a bkn/kyrie situation where gilbert says send him anywhere but the lakers.

my money is still on him being in miami or ny when the summer's over.

edit: forgot about bkn. they've got some good unprotected phx/philly picks plus cam johnson as a foundation piece under contract or ben simmons as a big expiring.

Yeah, the agency gives them a big advantage. If that's not the spot then I think the other NY team gets strong consideration too. Better to play for them that not get to play in the city at all.

He's from NY. Played his AAU ball in NY. Dad worked for the Mets. Think he wants the big market too. Utah and Cleveland have probably cost him some opportunities.

yeah, i edited after you posted that bkn news. i had forgotten they existed again.

the good news could be that the teams with the most assets might focus on getting mitchell and create an opportunity for us to get something useful at a lower tier.
