Curious if anyone around here that wanted Vogel gone is rethinking that position after Ham?

Like you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone lol

Personally I doubt he would or should come back unless Rob realized his roster construction mistake and is willing to build a roster with a strong defensive focus again.

Damn the roster construction. We kicked him out with the trash. Announced his firing before the players were off the court. Put him in the position where he had to process the firing and address it in the post game interviews after our season ended that night. Pinned the Russ s*** on him, the only one who's hands were clean in the entire Russ sage. Only to fire him for a coach who could handle Russ, he couldn't and we still had to trade Russ.

Unless you offer him silly money. Like $15m a year for 5-6 years, he'd tell us to f*** ourselves and I'd applaud him for it.

Based on the available jobs, I sit a year or go join Kidd's staff and see what opens up next summer.

There is no way we're bringing Vogel in again.

We never should have fired the guy but it would be awkward if we rehired him after the way management treated him like garbage

If I was Vogel, I would not want to come back to the Lakers.

But also… I don’t want Vogel back anyways.

Yes we did Vogel dirty the way we unceremoniously fired him so quickly after the season ended. But I still agree that it was time to move on. He lost the locker room and even aside from the poor roster construction I was not a fan of his offensive schemes

With Denver cap situation: it would be hilarious if Vogel comes, KCP comes back, and then trade for Caruso.
s*** that would be a fun as hell team (AC, Caruso, KCP, Lebron, Vando, Rui, AD, Wood).

You're Not wrong, but I’m saying if he was willing to come back, we have to give him the one style of roster he can be an elite coach with. Otherwise it’s not even worth considering for either party.

i think the ship has sailed, and i agree with others that he lost the stars, and thus he was doomed in any case. but:

yeah, we were definitely in the wrong. if i'm vogel, i count phx's phat stax while i do some broadcasting. then i jump in as a HC or assistant in a location of my choosing in a couple years.

he makes sense there, imo. not here, but yes there.

The “I don’t care” stuff has gotten old. Also where is the voter fatigue? They stopped giving it to LeBron forever ago because “voter fatigue”, Kobe and Shaq only ever got one because eff the Lakers, some guys would kill to win just one, and Jokic can’t be bothered to care, it’s lame

Yeah, he’s getting 20 mil to stay at home. I think he’s going to be picky on the next roster. He decides to take on so that it’s a fit for his style. He’s gotten two raw deals in a row IMHO. He may not be perfect, but it does show you the power of players when they decide to tune out a coach.

i've grown tired of the mvp politics, like weezy. but if it's best player on best team, it's tatum. if it's best player, it's jokic.

if SGA gets it, there's no real formula, and i'd pick luka and probably giannis over him anyway.

I like it when players voted the MVP, Kareem got all the awards (6) because his peers knew he was the best, then they took away the right to vote from players and he never won it again lol

    Do it,Rob ASAP

New Orleans Jonas Valanchunas will enter the market of free agents this summer.

According to insider Michael Scotto, «New Orleans» is not going to resign the 32-year-old center. Valanciunas was forced to spend the final minutes of the matches on the bench. His playing style does not fit with Zion Williamson.
When Zion is healthy and playing, Valanciunas occupies the paint and clogs driving lanes for Zion. While he’s still a double-double threat, he’s not an ideal fit for this roster,

So Pelicans not going sign Ingram, Valanchunas because of Zion. But he injured more often than Kawhi.
Nice management, probably the best in NBA
