I think after next summer we could be closer to contending with Durant than the Clippers will be. The Clippers without Jordan are vastly less interesting and are certainly not title contenders. Not to mention isn't Palmer the laughing stock of the media world now?
isnt terry a sg? if so they still need lin i dont think terry can demand a whole lot of money at this point he can prob be had for a vet min or an exception, doesnt really impact Lin since its a s&t
agreed i wanna see how the clips look this year theyre gonna need someone to step up big in place of dj since blake is allergic to defense people may talk a lot of crap about dj and say hes a one way player but his play and durability were a big factor in the clips getting out of the cellar
Still keeping fingers crossed for our 3 and D sf Anderson . C'mon Mitch. Come out of the last two years with Upshaw/Black Randle/Lance Anderson Clarkson Russell
how much would luc-mbah a moute cost? would be a solid defender at the 3 edit: found this interesting tidbit 11. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, SF, UFA: Andrew Bogut always credits Mbah a Moute with teaching him a high level of defense when they were in Milwaukee. LRMAM is a pro's pro. He's an offensive-neutral but he's a defensive genius. There's no reason he can't contribute the same Thabo Sefolosha did for the Thunder and Hawks before his injury.
Ok I have been offline for the last 36 hours and WOW...everything happens. First and foremost. Magic wand. I never called for Mitch's head and EVEN said he would look to make noise via trade. To look to make noise is one thing, but once again Mitch struck gold for us. Hibbert anchored an elite NBA defense and I'm hoping he's like Pau in that a change of scenery reverts him back to his old ways. Also he's young, and on an expiring contract which is great for us and future plans. Lou Williams is great guard depth and Kobe insurance with our other guards. Brandon Bass is a solid true 4 for us backing up Randle. I've read that he was the epitome of scrapper, do all the dirty work guy. Most importantly we effing did something. I was calling out the FO asking why I heard nothing but crickets but I have learned my lesson for the Nth time to never ever ever question Mr. Mitch Kupchack and the Lakers organization.
The interior sector is solid both defensively and offensively ... what we lack is defense on the perimeter ... Overall the key in today's NBA is versatility ... this is what our FO needs to keep in mind to fill in the wings positions in the future
Wow... Randle/Bass/Hibbert/Tarik... we're trying to play some serious bully ball here. I don't know of any other team having those kinds of bruisers right now. This also means that Kobe is definitely switching to the SF position. Which is something he should have done few years ago.
Can he guard 3's though? I suppose we'd rather have him muscle down guys than chase them around the perimeter and fight through screens. Still though, those SF matchups ain't no joke Durant LeBron Paul George Melo Jimmy Buckets Kawahi Leonard Gordon Hayward Giannis Rudy Gay Iguodala Wiggins Batum Chandler Parsons Gallinari Tobias Harris Khris Middleton
BTW I just came back from a Mavs forum and they seem pretty livid about giving up Anderson for Lin.... LOL (page 17 onwards, regarding Anderson) http://www.scout.com/nba/mavericks/...ng-lin-snt-with-lal-lin-likes-dal-most?page=1
Durant knows what it's like to play with a rim protector; he won't have that with the Clips. He could well have that with Hibbert.
I don't think so, but I also don't see Kobe playing more than 1000 minutes or so. If he plays more and is effective, we could be fighting for an 8th seed.
