Denver will be fishing after Minnesota series, but Lakers would lose to them too .We just got lucky that Minnesota were injured last season or Lakers would be eliminated by Denver 2 years in a row in 1st round.

Wow. Weezy you are spot on here. I finally sat down to watch a full game. I didn't expect much but we were way worse than I thought. AD said they didn't know what they were doing half the time? It was way more than half the time...lol.

i REALLY want to hear who's been behind lebron handling the ball out top for long stretches of the game. whoever it is should not be making these decisions. a few plays? fine. but most plays? nope. terrible.

Last night was what I was afraid of after Game 2, that they'd let go of the rope the second the Nuggets pushed back because in the back of their minds they knew Game 2 was the chance to actually make this a series.

Except you risk losing that game and you don't make the playoffs at all.

I promise you that if I coached, we’d win one game against the Nuggets. Hell, Rambis would.

well, we are about to get swept AGAIN ! So I don’t understand your logic . If we were actually good enough to beat them( then agree with you face your demons) but we just validated that we are Denver’s b**** ! And that shouldn’t be cool In anybody’s book . It’s just LeBron and ADs cocky attitude that as long as we are in the playoffs bring on anyone!

That’s a low risk for a play in team that is owned by Denver nuggets.

if some bully keeps beating you up after school In the back ally ? Why would you wanna keep running into him ? Take another route and hope someone bigger will beat him up

Well, that's exactly what I am saying: we would get swept by them in round 1, round 2 etc. It does not really matter at this point. Besides, you never tank in a play-in game. Unpredictable things may happen and then you don't even make the playoffs. It's better to try to beat Denver early, while Bron and AD are still fresh and not too banged up. This was their best chance, but they are just not good enough for a variety of reasons.

Eh, I never seriously wanted to tank the play-in to avoid Denver, but in hindsight it probably would have been better.

Denver is a nightmare for us, but we’re not THIS bad. I’d be pretty confident in our chances against any other team in the West.

Sure you most likely need to go through Denver at some point… but maybe you don’t? Like you said, unpredictable things happen. Maybe the bracket shakes out that a team like Minnesota takes out Denver before we get to them. Maybe Murray twists an ankle. By delaying when you would collide with Denver in the bracket, you have a better chance of something unpredictable happening to avoid it.

And if we tanked the Pelicans game only to lose the next play-in game… well aren’t we in basically the same boat? Positive is we’d get a better draft pick. Drawback is we’d be laughed at by Warriors/Kings fans, but is that worse than getting swept by Denver again and reinforcing to everyone that this team absolutely owns us?

It’s water under the bridge though, and still not something I would have felt right about doing. Plus, this may be the better outcome in the sense that this is such an embarrassing result that it may force the FO’s hand into firing Ham and making improvements (although I’m still skeptical about this FO).

Had we lost in the play-in, I could see a built in excuse of them trying to deflect the failures as a fluky result of the play-in tournament

This is true actually, they’re a team, we’re a group of guys who play together, I don’t see much leadership on our end
