The need at small forward is probably being filled by that talked about Chicago trade...

Have we discussed what we could possibly want from the Mavs now that they're interested in Lin (and without cap space left after DJ & Wes, they gotta do a S&T)? How's Felton doing these days? Still a solid backup?

I'm also sure this is Parsons' request. Misses his bromance buddy.

Yeah I got that but my post did sound like I was expecting someone back. To reiterate I wouldn't waive Young unless we have plans to replace him with another wing.

Only piece I'd want from them is Justin Anderson.

I want Anderson, he solves our need for another SF. he's a rookie and I'd rather have a vet for that role, but he's all I want from that roster (that they'd be willing to offer). Nab him and a future pick.

No thanks to Felton. There's a reason he's not in their plans and they're looking at Lin. If we want a point, I'd rather use the minimum on someone.

It has to be Anderson, they've got no one else of value. Maybe we can send em another future 2nd rounder to sweeten the deal. I dunno, if they think Lin is their PG of the future, they might just bite.

    This has stuck with me....

Just seeing the Black Mamba walk into the gym.... He's a killer, and I'd love to play with a killer.

    Make it happen Mitch!!

Trying to figure out the cap situation here....

    Russell (4.2) / JC (845k)
    Kobe (25) / Lou (6.7) / Brown (845k)
    Young (5.2) / Abrown (500k)
    Randle (3.1) / Kelly (1.7) / Nance (1)
    Hibbert (17.8) / Black (845k) / Sacre (1)

    Bass - Room for now

Total - 68.7.........That works right now given the salary cap might be 69 million

Now with the FO trying to dump Kelly, Sacre, Young......

    Russell (4.2) / JC (845k)
    Kobe (25) / Lou (6.7) / Brown (845k)
    ABrown (500k)
    Randle (3.1) / Nance (1)
    Hibbert (17.8) / Black (845k)

    Bass - Room for now

    Total - 61.8.......7.2 million

That begs the question, just who are we trying to get at SF? If Young stays, we got 2 million left to get another player. (Assuming new cap is 69 million)

I wonder if Mitch would call Masai to send Nick up north here. They have NO bench at all. Lost Lou, Amir Johnson, Vasquez and wouldn't be surprised if they trade Ridnour for the umpteenth time this season.

If that happens.... Kyle Lowry ain't seeing the ball on offense ever again. DeRozan + Young = one heck of a blackhole to eat up that ball.

I can't imagine we're landing Anderson for Lin.

He must have the best agent in thy NBA. I've seen nothing from him to warrant more than half of that amount.

I don't follow teams like DET much. I'm assuming that this isn't Mr. October.

OK. I looked him up. Nearly 20 with 10 assists in almost 30 games with DET this year. Before that he's been decent but nothing like those 30 games.

They must think the 20 and 10 thing can continue. If it does that probably isn't a bad price. Will it is the question.

He did play well in the 27 games with Detroit... but no way he's worth $80 mill. Were they trying to match someone since he's RFA?
