    100% this

Teams often win championships by having players that play WAY above their contract. The Warriors had their run in large part because Curry got injured and had to sign a contract worth way less that his true market value early. The money that freed up allowed them to build a championship team around him.

For that reason I don’t gut the team or trade any of our players on favorable contracts unless it gets us a sure fire superstar that aligns with AD’s prime or past it. I’m talking Luka or Ant or something.

No aging stars on bloated contracts with declining production.

Still funny, but either that’s quick wit off the cuff or he had been thinking about it.

Leonard (knee) appears to be trending in the wrong direction ahead of Sunday's Game 1 matchup with the Mavericks, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

According to Wojnarowski, there is increasing doubt in regards to Leonard's potential availability
    Well here we go

Exactly, we cannot go into every post season having to build another team.

Allow these guys to build to the point that they fit as a glove

Honestly, I'm down for Tre Young if:

    (1) It doesn't cost too much

    (2) We are also able to get at least one legit three-and-D player at the two or three, and a decent three-and-D player at the two or three.

Highly unlikely though, because we would have to send Dlo to probably ATL in a sign and trade, but why would they want to pair him with that other guard, I forgot his name. After it didn't work out with Tre? I know Dlo is not as ball-dominant, but still.

MIN has a huge advantage in the playoffs. The reason is simple: they play the best defense in the league and the Suns...... do not. And it showed today.

If this team flames out in 4 or 5, this summer is going to get spicy, lol.

What do you consider “not that much?”
It will start with Rui, Reaves, at least two firsts and probably include one, or two, of our two way players and seconds as well.

That post was prior to the Denver game 1. At that time I was thinking a Dlo sign and trade + Rui and two 1sts. As opposed to Reaves + Rui and three 1sts.

Watching Trae Young Highlights and going through analysts and film.

Nothing we don't already know, but there is serious warts in his game.

Mitchell has the relationship with Bam Adebayo.

Maybe somebody else comes loose during the summer...

Our guards are at a size and athleticism deficit vs Denver, so let’s go trade for an even smaller and less athletic guard in Trae Young. Makes perfect sense to me.

funny things about the AD trade--which we forever won by a mile--are that the two pieces NO gave away (hart, draft rights to garland) have been better than the headliners in the deal (ingram, ball).

you're right, but i'm afraid people are just going to see us unable to get and convert shots against playoff-level defense from anyone but lebron/AD. lebron especially sees this. i don't think it's the right move, but in reality, i just think we're stuck right now. we need a couple more teams in sell mode, and the league just doesn't have many right now. bad timing.

I think Minny has a good shot against Denver. Don't know their matchup against them in reg season but they have the bigs to make Jokic uncomfortable and can put Ant on Murray. Should be fun to watch if we can't pull a big shock in our series
