The AD trade seemed to start this wave of f*** it give every asset you have to go big game hunting.

The thing AD was a true superstar who was entering his prime. I don't think these moves make a lot of sense unless you get something of that extreme value. one of these teams like the Nets, Cavs, Suns, Bucks are going to have a Nets Pierce KG trade disaster hit them soon..

Especially with the new CBA putting the clamps on moves it doesn't make sense to acquire guys unless you have assets leftover to complete the team. Otherwise not only have you traded way your war chest, you get handicapped on what you used to be able to complete a roster

 

Sacramento has to be one of the most pathetic franchises in the league. They put in an unbelievable effort and turn into the Nuggets every time they play the Lakers in the regular season, then in a make-or-break game, they get beaten by the Zion-less Pels.

Why not? I’m not getting the play-in hate. I disliked the idea initially, but it’s made the last 2 weeks of the regular season not only watchable, but exciting. So much was on the line that final weekend.

It’s not like 7-10 seeds are winning the title anyway, so it’s not about impacting the end result, but adding a little intrigue.

if Lakers had fallen into the 9 seed and made it in, would it still be a bad idea? Im just seeing zero arguments for how it hasn’t been a successful addition.

 

i think there should be a trigger for the play-in in terms of games behind. the bulls and hawks shouldn't have had a shot this year.
