I can take losing to Denver.

If we tanked the game on Tuesday only to then lose to the Warriors or kings I would be livid.

Nuggets are annoying but I can deal with their one or two fans online.

I hate the Queens and I don’t want to deal with the Warrior fans at all.

imagine losing in the conference finals again and having to keep Darvin Ham.

LA Kings over Lakers in playoffs for your TV choice. Clippers winning a ring in OUR market this year with a brand new arena next year is NO big deal …. let em have one. Dude why are you even here?

I think that GSW choose to play Denver instead of Minnesota in 2022 playoffs when both Murray and Porter were injured

It is almost the opposite situation being scared trying to avoid playing a team in the playoffs and tanking to ensure you get a better pick when your team is mathematically out of the playoffs. Those situations aren’t even somewhat comparable.

If we lost the media and fans would call us out, and if we ducked the Nuggets on purpose they’d call us out. Either outcome would be ecentially the same except two big differences. If we just lost to them again nothing changes. Same old thing. We haven’t compromised our values or pride as a winning franchise (17 championships don’t care about a few losing seasons against one team), and anything and everything we do as a franchise for the foreseeable future would be ridiculed as illegitimate. They already try to cast aspersions on the 2020 championship when all things were equal. They’re already putting out the narrative of us trying to duck the Nuggets today and ridiculing the thing we haven’t even done yet.

They swept us… and? So what? That doesn’t change until you change it. That doesn’t change until you go in and beat them and you can’t do that unless you play them and beat them. So no ducking them if we want to change that narrative.

I get that you don’t think we can beat them, but you absolutely WON’T beat them if you don’t try.

What’s different? LeBron and AD are actually playing better right now than they did last season at this time. They’re healthier than they’ve been in years (any speculation AD’s back is a problem going forward isn’t supported by anything he’s saying).

What’s different? We’re getting Denver two whole rounds earlier so LeBron and AD will be less tired than last year.

What’s different? A year of familiarity for the starters learning each other’s tendencies. One of the main reasons Denver wins is because they know each other so well. They execute with precision because they know where each other will be on each play and what counters to run in a split second. We aren’t on that level yet, but we are closer to that with a year of playing together under our belt instead of trying to figure out your teammates on the fly.

And Dlo had a terrible series against Denver last year. He knows it and acknowledged it. It’s not a forgone conclusion he will have the same problems this year. I think the total points Denver beat us by last playoffs was like 13 points in 4 a game series span. If Dlo just has a normal series we win.

Anyway, I’ve said my peace and that’s what I think. You can say what you want. I’m too busy to respond anymore.

    1. I got no beef with Clippers, you have a huge beef with the clippers, idk why ? To each its own, maybe Ballmer always stole your lunch money.

    2. You can judge me however you want but I follow both teams and have been disappointed a lot lately, let me be .

3 your OUR market argument, I don’t understand, what market is our market ? What is our market ? Are you referring to CA teams market ?

Well if D'Angelo doesn't run and hide, we can definitely beat Denver.

This for me. There’s no shame in being the 2 seed losing to the 7th seed defending champs. There IS shame in tanking a play-in game, or losing both play-in games and missing the playoff with a healthy LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

What if we competed in both games and just lost to better teams?

    or

if we compete against NO, beat GS or Kings, and got OKC?

    LOL. I'm bored.

yeah, and it was a <pardon the phrase> b**** move that helps define your franchise. gsw is the new san antonio, and that similarity extends to the fact that they won't last. yes, yes, i know SA has wemby now, but if you told anyone a few years ago that they'd be this putrid for as long as they have been, they'd have said "no way, not in their DNA!"

we need to try to beat NO and then try to beat denver. if NO gets the best of us, we go the next route. i'm not down for the coward stuff. leave that to the clippers.

Not sure. Usually I hate him but I’m not clear on who he would favor here. I’m hoping we gut out a win tonight regardless of the matchup potential vs Denver rather than OKC who I’d rather face. I just have a feeling we aren’t winning this one not because of tanking but because it’s hard to beat a good team twice in a row on their own floor. Especially if AD is still beat up from last game.

I could see the Pelicans coming out with the same energy we did last game. Can’t say that I see us doing that. Who knows though? That’s why they play the games.
