I agree with the feeling of missing the play offs, the team just doesn’t have the oomph last season’s team had… DS, Walker were great, hungry DLO, Austin and Rui plus a healthy Vando
I still trust this team in a 7 game series against anyone. We constantly play better when the lights are brighter. We were great on the IST, have beaten a ton of top10 teams (I think we're among the best 5 records, saw it in a post last week. Miami were surprisingly bottom 5). We just need to get there and apart of Denver, I'm confident we win.
So far we've lost everything I listed from Tue and Wed. They weren't even good games. Tomorrow SAC is on a BTB on the road, but it's against the Wiz. PHO is on a BTB at home vs ATL.
looking at the schedules, you could see we weren't going to get help by teams ahead of us losing a lot. only phx has a tough schedule, and it's back-loaded, so it may not end up being that tough.
No chance to catch Sac. they are ahead 4 games in the loss column and they have the season series with a sweep of course. We essentially gotta be 5 games better with 13 games to play, and their schedule isn't too tough. Most like option is holding off GS to have the homecourt in the 9/10 matchup and if we win face loser of Suns/Mavs. Not looking good at all
It's probably not going to change anything in the standings, but it's funny that Washington with Kuz ,Pule and bunch of no names won vs Sacramento and Lakers got swept in season series with them
Houston is 9-1 in their past 10. Golden State is 5-5. Changes may still happen, but I don’t see a scenario where we end up 8th. We can’t seem to string together any decent run.
Only chance we have of getting out of the 9-10 is catching PHO. Pretty unlikely, but they have a brutal schedule to end the Season & we own the tiebreaker with them.. Wishful thinking, but a possibility.
Warriors lose again tonight - that should help us. But we really have to take care of business tonight against Indy. They have won 5 straight on the road tho including most recently against GS. We can't keep looking at other teams at this point...we're locked into 9th unless any of Dallas, PHX, Sacramento have epic collapses down the stretch. Our only shot is literally if we go 10-2 or 11-1 to end the season....that would require us literally going 6-0 on this road trip and having 1 or 2 more losses rest of the year
If Houston keeps this up, they pass Golden State for 10th and they fall out of the playoff picture. If we go 6-4 and they go 9-1 again in their next 10 games, they have a shot at catching us. Most unexpected. Unlikely for us to move up, as the teams ahead of us are playing better than us in the last 10. We finish 9th or 10th depending how strong we finish. GS is done. So are we if we're being honest. But it's possible neither GS or the Lakers blow things up entirely. Such a weird place to be in. Committed, overpaying, and underperforming. Terrible combination.
With the 150-145 win over IND the Lakers have won 3 straight, for the 6th time this season. They only time they won 4 straight was the IST win: the win over IND was their 4th straight. That game didn't count. Which blows, but whatever... Lakers go into MIL looking to win their 4th straight regular season game for the first time this season. Can they do it? Now's as good a time as any to put together our first streak of a lousy 4 games. Hell: HOU has won 8 straight and we're objectively better than they are. The damned C-Bags have won 9 straight, but that's a different story. 4 straight wins: can this team finally do it?
Rockets beat Wizards twice , Portland , Utah and SAS ... They're gonna play against good teams again soon
It's going to come down to the wire all over the Conference. OKC won the season series against Denver 3-1, Min and Denver are tied at 1-1 with 2 games left to play. Meanwhile Phoenix, Sac, and NO, all have tougher schedules, than we do to finish up. We could see 3way ties at both the top, and bottom of the Conference.
there may be some wild jockeying at the end. for example, if sacramento looks like the 6 seed, do min/okc/den look to drop to 3? if i'm any team but us, i want sacramento in the first round. plus, the 1/4/8 bracket figures to have the clippers, and maybe one of phx, gs, dal, or us. all that is moot right now, though, as sac/dal/phx are projected to finish so close that you may not be able to know anything ahead of time. unless weird things happen, we're slotted into 9, which is one spot better than i expected a couple weeks ago, but still...not great.
