it's funny, as bpi basically tells the same story we do: it thinks we're substantially better than our record, but will ultimately finish 10th. i can tell you that sac and NO will probably want to fight like hell to get that 6 spot. if you fall into 7/8, you're going to have to fight for your playoff lives vs. dallas, us, and gs. yipes.
I'm not sure there's a single play in or first round matchup where I like NO. They've won the season series against the Kings, but that's not a likely matchup. Tonight, only one to watch seems unlikely because the Heat are shorthanded
Guess I pulled a Lakers and underestimated Jaime in this one. We're still 9th. 3 games back of 7th place Kings and 8th place Mavs. Suns are still the only team ahead of us who has a tougher schedule Tonight's slate:
Thanks Max 2/4 WC games We've dropped to 10th. 0 games back from GS @ 9. 2.5 back from Dallas @ 8. 4 ahead of Utah @ 11.
Not looking good. Maybe with some help we could get up to 7th or 8th but I think it's wishful thinking at this point. As ever we shall see. Maybe if we get Cam back we can improve defensively enough to make a run. Otherwise as I've said before I think we're stuck fighting with GS for the 9th/10th. We lost momentum after the ASG. But who knows?
I have a feeling we'll end up #9 or #10. Noot looking great at this point and the team under-performed this year for sure./
The only line Ham is going to be left with to save his job this summer:”Hey look, I got us into the Play-In!”
1 of 3... barely. Still 9th. Only 1.5 from 8th 2.5 back from 6th Only .5 game lead on GS at 10 Tonight's slate and who we need to win in bold: Mavs vs. C Bags Warriors vs Raptors Kings vs Wolves Pacers vs Pelicans Wizards vs Clippers Tough night for Dallas, Sac Town, and Nawlins. Could be a very beneficial night for us with a few of these favorable games.
Jamal Murray sprained his ankle so I doubt he plays Saturday. If we can't beat the Nuggets now, we never will.
Not great results last night. 1/5. Wolves rallied and thought they were going to beat the Kings and then this happened Dipped to 10th 0 games back from 9th place GS 1.5 back from Dallas at 8th 5.5 up from 11th seeded Jazz
Our expected W-L is 30-31 right now, using the Basketball Reference metrics. That said, we're closer to 5th seed than 11th. Here's a wild stat: the Lakers are 13-11 against top 10 teams (Sagarin rating) but only 16-20 vs. top 16 teams, meaning they're 3-9 against the weaker playoff teams. That's the fourth best record in the NBA against top 10 teams. Only OKC, Minnesota, and Denver are better.
Lucky #10, the number Kobe wore in the Olympics. Wow is right. Resorting to pathetic things to make me feel better about this team, it's record, and playoff chances. The whole team should be fined for lack of effort and intelligence. Except Bron. His play has been pretty flawless this year, but most especially on the defensive side of the ball. er, ok, double fine
1 of 2. Sitting at 10th .5 back from GS @ 9th 5.5 on the Jazz at 11th, they continue to slide. 2-8 in their last 10. Even with this brutal start to March, I don't see us falling out of 10th. With Book's injury Maybe Suns drop some upcoming ones. Their schedule is brutal. For today: 6ers vs Mavs Warriors vs C Bags Clippers vs Wolves Thunder vs Suns
