I think this last game shows us how valuable Reaves is. While he is able to play a 3rd or 4th option, he is more than capable of being a 2nd option on a good team. I think his ceiling is around 24/5/7. Those are allstar numbers in LA. At this point, I believe this is where he will end out at. I would rather see him do that here, than elsewhere. He likely doesn't have the lateral quickness to be a defensive stopper but he is capable of doing well defensively if the defense is schemed with him in mind. I think he is way more valuable than AC ever was. We will be even more sorry to see him elsewhere than we have been watching AC play in Chicago.

    Totally agree!

You mean his ceiling next year, right? :)

    30/8/8, here we come!

In all seriousness, I think he could have higher numbers than yours, if he were the 1st option PG on a bad team, but that wouldn't be good for team success. I agree with you that your numbers as the 2nd option on a good team is very possible.

Ty for 2nds? Do it. And find a POA defender that doesn't cost a first. With Vando out and Cam still out, we're going to need something there.

adams is cooked. he was already slow as hell, and now with a major knee injury he probably can't even keep up

Jones won't return to Friday's game against Miami due to a right ankle sprain. He finished with six points (2-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, one rebound and one steal in 26 minutes.
Is he really injured or getting ready to trade

Tyus Jones for seconds would be great. I'm in favor. We need a backup PG.

Jones would be nice and a good use of our seconds.

The Wizards owe us for fleecing the front office in the Westbrook deal so maybe we can get this done. Lol

but didn't houston pay 2nds to get him? if everyone agreed he was just dead money, why does houston do that?

    also:

    upload_2024-2-3_7-51-37.png

feel like prince's salary is wrong here, but this deal gets us under the tax, and washington can afford to let gabe sit all year (they're not really trying to win, let's be real) and then he may be a decent player again. jones is likely to walk in FA unless they overpay him.

who else wants jones and how much will they pay?

Yeah I think Taurean is like just under 5M with the BAE exception.

man 250k seems like it should just be forgivable...

and maybe the lakers don't care about it as much as i think they do, but i can't imagine being 1 million over for a 9th place team is something the busses are happy about. also, the repeater implications.

if lebron wants to walk into someone's cap space this summer, that's his right. i wouldn't let him hold it over me if i were running the team.

Promises were made to Lebron this summer IMO, I'm not sure what all they entailed, but at 21 years in, James is in a chip or bust mentality, as long as he's on the team. We knew all of that, Rob cosigned it too.

Making that crack about how Bronny, could be getting playing time, on this current team, doesn't sound like, he's happy with the roster to me.

We are also fully aware, that Lebron James is 39 years old, so..it's either all in or we are just treading water.

Picking up a guy like Jones would help, but including Jones, is this team, really any better than last season's squad? The West is definitely better than it was last season at the top.

I still favor the homerun approach, get Murray and Grant, and trade whatever it takes to make it happen. Murray, Grant, Lebron, Austin and Jarred, that's a championship caliber core, we can fill in the blanks around those 5. Minus Lebron moving forward, that's still an elite caliber, blueprint to build around AD.

F being cheap, we can't always expect to compete for a chip on a budget.

would rather see lebron walk than give up any more than one future 1st rounder. this franchise is in for some dark days post-lebron and giving up 1st rounders isn't a smart strategy

Not too many teams out there that can pay him 50+ mil and be competitive. Not too many places can offer him the exposure he wants.

But then again, His agent just made nice in NY. Maybe there is something there to wrap up his career. And just maybe he's willing to take less to play for a better coach.
