I hate that this f***er plays by a different set of rules. He has an 8 foul limit and a "spare" flagrant and tech each game. He and Durant are the reason i can't ever like GSW.

Thanks. So if I'm reading this right, Dray should have fouled out on that play, the Lakers should have gotten the ball, and Steph wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to take that last 3 that put them ahead by 1 in the last 5 seconds. So the Lakers would have stayed ahead 143-141 and had the ball, and GSW would have had to foul, putting the Lakers more comfortably ahead, maybe by 4 pts, instead of being down by 1 and having to hope for a LeBron miracle or foul call at the last second.

The only other incorrect call was at 1:10 left in regulation, where Dray should have gotten an illegal defense call, and then the Lakers might have scored on that possession instead of a turnover. If so, they would have been ahead by 3 or 4, instead of 1, and might have won more comfortably in regulation, instead of requiring 10 extra minutes from LeBron, AD, and the rest of the starting lineup. Check that - what should be the rest of the starting lineup if the coach weren't a moron.

What was also hilarious was when Burke was going on and on about how great Green was on defense and they showed his "block" of Lebrons' drive and there was no contact with any part of Green with ball. All body blow and they just kind of skipped past it

We get robbed on a regular basis, and LeBron is getting the MMA treatment under the basket on a regular basis, kind of like Shaq used to... except Shaq was allowed to dish it too from time to time and Bron isn't. I bet it's a very frustrating experience for him. People are body checking him, hitting his arms, literally holding him back. I'm not even sure how he's able to finish those and-1s most of the time.

Grant Hill explains the decision surrounding Draymond Green’s omission from the Olympic pool

USA Basketball says it wants the best for Draymond Green, which is why the federation does not have him in its plans for the Paris Olympics.

Green’s omission from the pool of 41 players who are now candidates to play for the United States at the Paris Games was explained Wednesday by men’s national team managing director Grant Hill, who spoke highly of the Golden State forward’s history with the national team and how he helped the Americans win Olympic gold in 2016 and 2021.

But it was Green’s recent history — two suspensions for on-court conduct this season — that Hill and USA Basketball couldn’t ignore.

“This season Murray is averaging a career-high 21.4 points per game and flirting with a career-best success rate from 3-point range (38.8%) on a career-high 6.2 3s per game.”
I guess others might believe me now that DLo isn’t a far better shooter than Murray since someone else typed it.

i think the fear is that murray's shooting is a one-year thing, whereas dlo has been a good long range shooter for a long time. to accept that murray is WAY better than russell, you have to assume that the three ball will keep falling, and he will go back to being a very good defender. his advanced numbers are actually worse than dlo across the board this year. part of that is probably atl dysfunction, but it's worth noting.

again, i'd move dlo/jhs/lightly protected '29 for him, but going beyond that is wild. and again, i don't fault atlanta for wanting to keep him, if only because he's locked up on a deal that's reasonable.

if i were atlanta, i would definitely kick the tires on moving young before i moved murray. at least see what folks will offer...

Yeah. Plenty of us like Murray but wouldn’t trade everything for him. Especially when we are bidding against ourselves.

At this point keep DLO and get a cheaper dependable backup. Also find a specialist big man either a defender or rebounder

Is it after D-lo play in January ?

point guard has averaged 25.9 points and 6.1 assists while shooting 54.1% from beyond the arc since Jan. 14. A cynic might suggest Russell is simply showing off before the trade deadline to enhance his value, something he did a year ago in Minnesota.
Quin Snyder asks management not to trade Dejounte Murray (Marc Stein)

An insider claims that Quin Snyder wants to keep Dejounte Murray on the team.

“Another interesting piece of news has emerged on the Dejounte Murray front , with league sources saying head coach Quin Snyder is asking the Hawks not to trade him.

Murray is not only playing well amid negotiations rumors - he recently scored to win games against Charlotte and Miami - but also has a contract that is quite acceptable by today's standards, writes Mark Stein.

I never stated that Murray is WAY better than DLo. I’ve stated multiple times that I prefer him because he has been an excellent defender before and the stats don’t show that DLo is a way better shooter, like many have said.

my only concern about Dlo is he tends to shrink when the pressure is on.

he was absolutely trash in the Denver series and even in the last game against GS he hit clutch shots, but his playmaking down the stretch was atrocious, I think he had 3 turnovers in a row at one point in the 4th.

people forget what a decision-making train wreck schroder was in the playoffs, too. i remember being flabbergasted by his "playmaking". toronto is too, as they traded for his upgrade after falling to .350 on the season.

i agree that dlo warrants concern as a playoff performer. absolutely. we tried to address it by using basically all of our summer cash on another pg AND carefully structuring his contract to make it tradeable. this all made sense to me.

i'm on team "let's get tyus jones or malcolm brogdon as a sixth man" using gabe or rui as the principal piece, if possible.

Man New York is in a good position after all these years. Dangerous defense already and they could actually be a FA destination with the picks able to facilitate a sign and trade
