Didn't see this before I typed my comment above but ditto man. Ditto.

    Its insane.

Then as soon as the player leaves or does get traded suddenly we got robbed or we shouldn't have let them walk.

Russell is honestly better than 90% of the guys we are rumored to be looking at trading him for even with his playoff issues.

To give up him and a pick for some of these guys would be crazy.

The Lakers have had a healthy AD all year, Lebron hasn't had any major injuries all year, AND, Dlo has been a solid number 3 the last three weeks and it has meant nothing.

The Lakers team is a mentally flawed team. Coaching is atrocious and their ability to channel next level execution when they confront resistence is pathetic.

Talent or mental midgets? Both, or one or the other in every game. Just an overall medicore team and the record confirms that week in and week out.

All these other details is wasted air. Most of you are arguing for nothing and wasting your lives talking about the cemantics.

i don't entirely disagree, tbh. the team should be better than it is, and i don't have a ton of confidence that a trade will change that. i felt very differently last year on two fronts: first, i thought a trade would change the team dramatically (it did), and second, i thought it was unlikely (was glad to be wrong). this year, i feel the opposite on both counts.

This is all in fun for me; though I get why it doesn't seem like that sometimes lol.

Overall though, I do agree that the team is mentally weak and have said similar. Team also just flat out needs more fire and toughness. They seem to think they are a championship contender but aren't proving it on the court.

Not fun at all. Alot if us are wasting our lives with not only the chumps on the Lakers but the NBA as a whole. 10 missed calls at the end of the Minnesota game the other day and Silver keeps saying he loves the refs. No one fixes anything because we continue to watch. We are the problem in the end for supporting this trash.

New York failed to reach an agreement with Atlanta regarding Dejounte Murray.

According to HoopsHype expert Michael Scotto, New York believes the asking price for the Hawks defenseman is too high.

“It's one thing to have a first-round pick, Evan Fournier and Quentin Grimes on an expiring contract. This proposal was rejected. And quite another thing is the second pick of the first round, which Atlanta wants to get . “New York is not ready for such a deal at this time,” Scotto said.

I actually think injuries are pretty vaild excuse.
Lebron and AD have been healthy but OTOH
    Rui: barely around
    Vando: barely around
    Cam: barely around
    DLo: out for awhile
Gabe: basically out for the season

I believe the Lakers are two solid backups from being contenders.Obviously at PG and another Big man.Two holes in their team that keep showing up just about every game.If they don’t get both then IMO they won’t contend

Pelinka brought Mays in and in the one instance Ham got off his a** and actually gave him some garbage time he played well and looked capable of playing some limited backup PG minutes. But like all of his other internal little choices …. nooooo! This guy has been terrible with utilizing what he has available when it has been available and the players “apparently” REALLY dislike him for it this season. IMO he has wrecked chemistry completely this season with guys who care for each other and had it last year. Listen to @Toklat a real coach for decades on this board …. when he speaks about about Ham.

Oh I meant the arguing about it was fun.

I get what you are saying and agree about the state of the product.

But even then we send him to South Bay to go double duty for God knows what reason. I think we're fumbling that because it's getting in the way of JHS getting all the ball handling reps. I thought that was the upside of Pip going to Memphis and then we have an overqualified Mays getting 30 minutes a game down there.

If we don't get Murray and if the price for Brogdon and Jones doesn't drop, then this is my 4th option for PG help

Another small guard 6'2" 183lbs. Supposedly a good defender? How does he compare to Skylar Mays 6'4" 205lbs "all around"? Just was searching a couple seconds around and came up with whoever this dude is's opinion blog:

EDIT … that is not any deep dive with paragraphs like the below, though hopefully his powers of observation are decent at least for the points he will make to back up his statement.

“As Mays continued to develop his skills, his impact on the court became undeniable. His ability to score from all areas of the floor, his defensive tenacity, and his leadership qualities made him a valuable asset to the Lakers. Fans quickly fell in love with his relentless playing style and his ability to come up clutch in big moments.

Throughout his journey with the Lakers, Mays has proven that he belongs in the NBA. He has shown that hard work and determination can take you far, regardless of where you start. Mays’ journey with the Lakers is just the beginning, and there is no doubt that he will continue to shine as one of the league’s rising stars.”

2ND EDIT ... that article is worthless, a rambling mess and further down he's repeating copy as if Mays is on the Blazers.

But I would still like to hear the comparison with the 2 of them, and an equally talented (if the case) bigger guard who also defends is better than the smaller guard unless the smaller guard like Schroder is just much faster. Even then as with Schroder if he's a bit faster than Gabe, Gabe may switch better onto bigger players and/or do other things better than Dennis. Same type of comparison here?

i mentioned him in a thread a while back listing potential trade targets. i was scared off because he hadn't played all year, but if they'd take gabe and a couple seconds, i'd do it.
