Hibbert is a good choice. I mentioned that a couple days ago as a "fall back" move.

He actually give us a two way center and he may benefit from a new environment.

Those who are pointing out his playoff melt down need to remember that there will be no such issue here. The playoffs are not really a possibility.

He's 28 and needs to prove something. Not unlike the rest of the team. Lee is a better player but just plying out the string. This is a better fit.

And I'm not saying all this to say he's going to be an awesome player. He's probably going to be underwhelming...

Honestly I'm just excited we're moving in a direction at all.

We still have room for KJ McDaniels. GET HIM. All of a sudden, we have a real team, and all the people dying on the board as of yesterday could see our team fight for 40 wins. If Hibbert returns to even 70 percent of his former self, and Randle and Russia 'll are as advertised, we could make a run at the playoffs with Dallas and Portland's inevitable decline.

Kobe may start at the 3. Hopefully we go get KJ McDaniels to fill out the team. Houston likes Lin. Double sign and trade?

Can Sacre be used as part of this trade? Black is on board and Upshaw could be for depth.

Hibbert >> Cousins for this team.. As long as none of the young guns are in this S&T

I don't see why not. I know a few writers have been saying we might send away one of our projects from over seas, but I'm okay with that too.

If we have to give away someone though I would rather it be Sacre.

We need to send back some salary so we can add some more pieces. This cannot be the only move by us. We need Starting SF, back up pg, another big man.

If we got Cousins we wouldn't have to worry about the young guns. 2 of them would be in SAC.

Hibbert was as good for Indiana a few years ago as Jordan was for the Clippers. A change of scenery may revive his career. If not then bye next summer. Low risk high reward move.

Agreed... It's not as if we're taking in a Muresan here. I remember when Walton tutored him with his post play then he tanked mentally. With the Lakers we can even run plays for him just to keep his head in the game. My reservation is how will Hibbert fare under 24's hard driving schtick and Scott the taskmaster? If for nothing, this crew needs that "good cop" teammate like Fisher did back in the day.

Hibbert is not my first choice and definitely not liking that contract but we have nothing to lose. In theory, Hibbert is a very good fit for us. But let's hope the change in scenery does some good for him mentally. I'm not expecting a lot but I'm not expecting him to go Kwame on us either.

We could do worse. Solves a massive need and is starting caliber and had all star talent. We like projects...well here we go.

Very curious to see what all is involved from both parties.
