Why Roy Hibbert? Why not David Lee instead? David Lee runs the floor better which would suit the showtime play-style that they are going for. Also, I feel like Roy Hibbert's mental state is in a fragile place.

I have no problem with Hibbert. He'll help us get that top 3 pick we need.

Finally check back here and read some promising news.

Hibbert would be great. So would Koufas.

    Any word on Lou Williams?

It is a big gamble...actually a huge gamble. The red flag is that Indiana is willing to give up on him that fast. Hibbert does have skills no doubt but it is what is in between his temples is the question.

If the Pacers have really soured on Hibbert (which is baffling to me), I think they might take back some salary and give us a 2nd rounder. It's weird that the Pacers would act like that .... it really irked David West. That's one of the reasons he opted out.

Hell we did that last year without the health, Kobe, Randle or Russell. Sometimes too damn well for the good of the tank. Credit Byron for that.

Some of ya'll are being WAY too harsh on him. He won't be the best Center in the league, but he's going to help if we can get him.

maybe because we need a center. Tarik Black isn't a bad option by any stretch but we need another center. And yes Rob Sacre isn't an answer

I'd go Hibbert over Lee 10/10 times for our situation.

I don't know what the FO's plan is; the roster sorely need a center who is capable of starting in this league and so far we got nothing. Already, most of the FA big men are gone. Do we have a secret trade in the work? What?

I hate to hear we are repeatedly striking out. It doesn't sound like the glorious Lakers we know. Maybe we need to move on from Kobe completely, a literal fresh start.

good as long as Swaggy isn't involved I'll be happy. I know many of you would be too made if he was gone but we really shouldnt have to give up good/decent pieces to get Hibbert if we're taking on all his salary. I hope we do a sign and trade with Hill or give up Sacre.

Hibbert has a lot of issues and at his pay scale we're unlikely to get "value" on him BUT:

    - He's a legit 7 feet tall
    - He's a rim protector
    - He can hit an elbow jumper and space for Randle/Kobe/Clarkson going to the rim
    - He expires next season so if he sucks, let him go and jump back into FA!!!

I agree complete. I wouldnt dear settle for Lee when we need a defensive presence first and foremost.

Absolutely. Hibbert still averaged 10 points , 7 boards, and 1.6 blocks last year. He can help us in a number of ways. I'm not a huge fan of his either but this is a solid move

Precisely...without those three you mentioned and inconsistency and mismatched line-ups...it was a kennel show. We had one dog that was worth a damn...Clarkson.

Yeah David Lee and Julius as 4 and 5 is recipe for disaster on defense and Tarik is more of back up pf/c similar to Ed davis last year. We need true center...or two
