russell for tyus jones works under the cap and puts us under the tax, i think. bet we'd pay something in draft capital to make that happen. maybe all the way up to a protected pick swap. something like 2 2nds and a lotto-protected swap on whichever pick NO doesn't take? jones is a FA this summer.

rozier and dinwiddie make some sense, too, but both require adding salary and/or additional players to the deal.

schroder and a player toronto doesn't want can work, but they're right up against the tax, too, so we can't benefit in that way there. also their coach wants us dead.

fultz probably isn't in orlando's long-term plans (suggs seems to have found his spot and they drafted black). he's also a bad shooter, so that makes sense. also a FA this summer.

detroit sucks and doesn't want to: how about monte morris and killian hayes? morris has been out all year but is theoretically alive? two gabes! can swap out bagley or wiseman to get another big.

brogdon works straight up. portland would want to extract some blood, though. i might prefer jones depending on how much.

    i'm tapped out.

Tyus Jones would be pretty nice. I'm not sure he's exactly what this team needs to level up this season, but longer term I really like him in a backcourt with Reaves and Christie.

I think DLo and Reddish for Rozier works, but yeah Rozier still has some significant money left. Rozier has been scoring really well this year and is probably the best fit for what we need right now of the guys on this list. Would also open up more minutes for Max, who has looked better to me over the last couple of weeks than he did at the start of the season.

Amazing what minutes and playing time will do for a good young player …. who’d a thunk it?

Lenard has played in 56.1% of his team's regular season games since joining the Clippers , missing 151 of 344 games.
But who's counting definitely not Balmer
Leonard signed a contract extension with the Clippers on Wednesday for $152.4 million over three years.
He is getting more than 50 millions per season ..

harden's a free agent and they have his full bird rights and thus can pay him a lot of cash. how far is ballmer willing to go? part of why harden demanded out of philly was that contract he's playing under right now. he thinks he deserves max, too.

they're over the tax next year BEFORE harden's salary. could potentially have a 210 million dollar payroll. ours is 165 for reference.

I've been officially on the Murray train as long as it doesn't cost us way too much. He's a solid two way guy who could shore up that PG starting position well. But count me in also on a potential DLo, Rui, Vincent trade for Lavine and Caruso as well. Don't think I'd take Lavine on his own although I do like his game and his fit better than Dlo. Got to sweeten the pot for me with that contract. It would be outstanding to get the Eagle back and I like the consolidation of that trade - simplifying our wing glut and bolstering our guard play. We could go to war with either of those trades.

just feel like we'll get outbid for murray. i also chicago will need to save some face on a lavine trade, particularly if it involves caruso. we can't really offer something that doesn't make them look bad, imo.

i do agree that lavine has negative trade value, btw--just not sure chicago will be convinced or that they won't trade him for an even larger problem that is more exciting as a headline (like a westbrook type move).

Hmm. Shooters come here to die so not sure I want one of those guys. Our system seems to not work for three point shooters. A scoring guard ok, but has to play some defense too or we are just repeating ourselves and why trade DAR who is a pretty good shooter and passer? BTW is Tyus Jones really an upgrade over Dlo?

I wonder how differently this season looks if we just kept Dennis and didn't sign Gabe. I legitimately think it's a 3-4 win difference at this point.
