not sure it will be allowed, but hard not to want that kind of shooting on your team for spacing purposes.

but could our coach even use him correctly?

good, but he has to watch it. those have a way of getting re-aggravated. seems like only prolonged rest helps.

maybe they can find him some rest in late march, too. that would be very wise. you know, for health.

i love how pick swaps are counted as tradable picks for other teams, but not for us. i also like how bontemps acts like everyone was wrong about the lakers having a good offseason. they did. it just hasn't worked out for various reasons. two things can be true at the same time.

weird that windhorst, instead of answering the question, chimes in with (what is implied as informed) suggestions that everyone else is wrong, and we're not likely to trade.

i wouldn't be too surprised if we did nothing. if we can move dlo for a pg that lebron won't b**** about, we'll probably do it. but i don't think we'll turn over half the roster again.

Also on the Murray front, listened to the Stein/Haynes pod from yesterday

    - Haynes thinks he gets moved but he's not going to go for peanuts, they want to recoup some value considering what they gave up to get him. They're not in a rush to move him though, they very well could revisit a trade this summer if they don't like the market (Hawks have a history of this -- Collins).
    - Hawks want a scoring punch in return.
    - Stein said they could decide to be less competitive this year, maybe as sellers, if it made them better next year. Reason being is next year is when they have to start giving up those draft picks. Haynes countered that he's heard Trae wants to win now, so if they go that route that has to be a conversion if Trae's OK punting a year.
    - mentioned a possible Siakam swap since the Hawks have been after him since the summer.

@abeer3 if they're looking for scoring, that 3-team LaVine deal you floated makes even more sense if we're going to try to get Murray.

We can definitely turn it around, but there has to be a sense of urgency about it. With a 6-8 winning game streak we'd be in the middle of the playoff race, without having to worry about the play-in tournament. The West is still pretty tight.

Damn, that's big money. Well deserved though, as he carries the title of the best coach in the game.

no salary cap on coaching. i wonder if there were rumblings that we or some other team were going to make him a huge offer soon. i would have backed that play 100%.

i honestly can't even recall who else we interviewed. i remember thinking ham was "fine".

i will say that i never liked his theories about offense given our personnel, and i felt like the front office should have considered that more carefully.

How can anyone from an informed fan perspective form a hard opinion on a dude coming from an assistant coaching background with no head coach experience?
This seems like you truly need inside information about what that coach was doing to form an opinion that you would put any money down on.

This, the Windhorst bit is interesting. I want to do a simple DLo for another PG trade and try to keep our frontcourt depth, and Rozier seems like the guy to me.
