I think the counter to that ask is give them Rui and Max + find a 3rd team who has interest in DLO + 1st to get them another vet who fits what they're looking for. And maybe take back a contract the Hawks don't want.

They need quality depth, scoring and clutch play. If we had all that, we would need to trade.

IMO: They need to tank so I think Dlo would be lovely for them lol
Trae young ain't going to lead you anywhere and they need the Luka/Young fiasco to bed and move on to a new era.

reaves should not be a part of any package. this team needs youth for the post-lebron era

Well, Hawks gave up 2 FRPs (well 3, but charlotte is too garbage so it'll be 2 2nd's). No wonder their price is sky high.

I don't think giving up Reaves and other stuff is going to be worth it to get Murray. Feels like a marginal upgrade at best. Everyone seems to think Murray is overrated as a defender and needs the ball to do something on offense.

Ultimately, I think the path for a trade this time for us is ironically eating money vs. getting expirings like last year. It just seems very tricky given the value of our players are perceived at a very low point right now.

The thing that bothers me about Murray is the facts that he's a mid range shooter. Sure he is having a good three point shooting year, but it is a limited sample size. We don't need mid range shooters, we need three point shooters. AD, Rui and Austin excel at the mid range.

Do you guys remember when we traded for KCP. He was on a bad Detroit team and at 24, was still kind of raw. He was known as an above average defender and potential to be a good shooter. At that point he never shot over 35% from three I believe. He was a lottery pick and was regarded my many as a bust. He then developed with us and we traded him like we didn't know what we had. Maybe we are looking at these type of players.

Murray scores in a lot of the same ways that Austin does. He loves to pull up mid range.

True. He takes more threes (just over 6 a game @ 40%), but not exactly a volume shooter still.

OG trade has set the market.

I’d need more to give up Reaves.

kind of feel like Lavine will be the move though. We will see.

Atlanta made a mistake with that trade, they had a WCF team and it all unraveled, why would give them Reaves to correct their mistake lol

REaves ain't going anywhere unless some true superstar becomes available: Reaves is actually better then Murray IMO and I've been on the Murray train for awhile (particularly when you think age, contract, etc)

I think its' going to be Lavine: no one wants that contract but he'd actually fit in well with the Lakers. Just need to make sure Caruso comes along for the ride.
