Bull sh*t! It most certainly does not validate your CALL that it wasn’t likely to happen again, if ever, Frank getting another head coaching job. Phoenix gave him a plum one NO MATTER HOW IT ENDS. You slither and dance around here like a politician to support your bad arguments. Seriously. I know you don’t give a crap but you deserve having that said when you do this, as well as being called hypocritical.

 

the vogel hate is weird. he coached the team to a title and was the perfect coach for that core

being forced to coach a player who wasn't a good fit aside, vogel's only issue was his insistence on those stupid small ball lineups. but who knows if that was an order being handed down from the FO or not

 

Like Ham, he didn't seem to have a great grasp on offense philosophy. Sometimes I wonder if the team has succeeded in spite of the last two coaching selections.

But that may be giving them too much credit. I suppose after having a HOF coach like Jackson, it's hard not to poo on what we've see since.

Except BScott. That was a lovely era of foxholes and fist fights that we should never forget.

 

i feel like vogel would be doing better with the current group--because we'd be a top-5 defense. but yeah, it's unfortunate we can't sign better coaches.

no one could argue ham's maximizing what he has here.

I'm still trying to grasp, why the injuries won't be an acceptable excuse for losing,is somehow hating Frank.

 

Hmm..top 5 defense? With mostly offensive players on the roster? You must really like Vogel.

 

not really; he was my second/third choice in that hiring cycle. i just think the guy knows how to build defenses. he'd just be limiting the playing time of non-defenders.

i agreed with his critics that his offense wasn't very imaginative, but ham's isn't, either (see: my various AD post rants). and he's not giving us a top-tier defense.

 

We are top 10 in the NBA on D and offense though.

Still a work in progress Abeer. Getting Rui,D'Angelo and Jarred on track makes a big difference in how we look. Ham has to tinker until he gets the rotations down.

no, not in lakerland. i feel like he's getting a fair shot--a full season without russ, and he definitely had input on FA moves. he needs to deliver a good playoff run.

 

completely unrelated--was looking up exum's stats, and man, he seems to have found the right role after 9 years.

makes me wonder if there's other guys playing overseas that might be ripe for the picking. i read that the kings former lotto pick papagiannis is doing well after washing out. and caboclo looked good in the world championships last year.

 

Cold world in the NBA..Teams give up quickly on young kids, and fire coaches even quicker. Have to make the most of every moment in the league. It won't last long for most.
