yeah this IST thing doesn't mean s*** if we're going to s*** the bed 2 games in a row and honestly ESCAPE with a win in San Antonio where we gave up 45 f***ING POITNS in the 4th quarter to a team that has lost 17 strraight games!!!!!

Ham was absolutely HORRIBLE in the 4th - horrible rotations, horrible adjustments - playing ZONE instead of man to man, DLO was absolutely terrible in the last 2 minutes...we had horrible rotations on D (AD included)....you can't let these guys get those looks on Friday cuz they'll bury us.

Speaking of which - the Spurs gonna gun for us again on Friday....and if we don't come out and SMACK THEM and blow them the f*** out on Friday....then this team is NOT SERIOUS about winning.

definitely a win that felt like a loss. we fell apart defensively as the second half went on, and if the game had a 5th quarter, we'd have lost by 20.

Paul George Wants to Give LA Clipper Fans Opportunity to 'Go at Laker Fans with Some Trash Talk' (Exclusive)

    Natasha Dye

The eight-time All-Star tells PEOPLE what it's like being on L.A.'s little-brother NBA team

Los Angeles has two teams representing the city in the NBA, but it's no secret that the LA Clippers are the little brother team to the LeBron James' Lakers.

The Clippers have only been in Los Angeles since 1984, the same year the Lakers lost to the Boston C Bags in the NBA Finals (but already had eight championships to their name, and nine more to come), and the franchise has yet to win a title. Still, the Clippers have a loyal and dedicated fanbase in the city that represents a certain type of basketball fan.

Eight-time NBA All-Star Paul George, who grew up just outside of Los Angeles in Palmdale, Calif., says what he loves "most about Clipper fans" in his four years representing the team, "is that they're just authentic basketball fans to the core."

And as a player, George, 33, says, "You love when you can have that type of environment and atmosphere, when you know the arena is all about you and they're all about supporting you, getting through it together whether it's tough times, whether it's great times, whether it's huge runs, whether it's we can't buy a bucket, it's just great that we have that support and they rally us."

"There's been multiple times where we've been in need of help from the 17,000 that's in the arena and they've been behind us and get us through the toughest. It's all credit to them," says George.

Still, representing the little brother team in a city so deep in Lakers pride and covered in murals of Kobe Bryant — one of George's idols and a late friend — hasn't made George the most popular basketball player in his city.

"At the end of the day, both of us are represented in L.A. and the Lakers have been successful. They have had winning coaches through championships, but that's something that we're trying to build with the Clippers."

George says "Of course" he notices the difference in volume of the fandoms in his daily life in Los Angeles, but that just makes the "occasional" run-in with a Clipper fan more exciting for him, especially as a kid from Palmdale.

In fact, with the Clippers' newest acquisition of superstar James Harden, all four of the Clippers star players, adding Kawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook, are natives of Southern California.

"We all know what represents this state and this city and we all wear that on our sleeves," says George of the quartet. "Our bond is strong based on that, and we wear it on our badges. We appreciate the opportunity to try and figure this out for our city," he says.

The Clippers' roster is in a win-now state, so the team's goal this season is essentially championship or bust.

Aside from winning the franchise's first title, George hopes he can help Clipper fans out in a perfectly snarky way. "Those fans that have stayed and are by our side, those are the ones I want to give back to. At least give them an opportunity to go at Lakers fans with some sort of trash talk."

All the Mavs supporting cast returned to earth against the Wolves.

Maybe they weren't left wide the f*** open and that was the difference, but still frustrating how everyone rises up against us.

PG will never stop being angry about how the lakers refused to trade half the team for him to end up in the basement for decades

    he's incredibly stupid

in fairness, i thought at the time that we should have ponied up the assets. it would have taken only one of the #2 pick (lonzo) or BI to make it happen (indy was asking for both, i think, but would have settled for one). we played hardball and got burned. luckily, AD bailed us out with his later request. and maybe we sort of knew that was coming down the pike, but then why motivate PG to make the trade demand?

it was a badly handled situation and probably cost us a sensible turner/hield deal years down the road AND set the stage for the clippers to become a power.

but yes, PG shouldn't really be too upset about any of it, imo. no one forced him to make the trade demand, and things turned out great for him, really.

I used to be a Clippers fan during my younger more anti-establishment years but honestly Sterling broke my link of fandom of having to be with a franchise. Living in Cali and Midwest and between Sterling and owners like Modell moving the Browns, just can never have the same attachment to one team

I followed them some just in the rag Times and a few televised games back when they had that fun young team and Lamar Odom era. Didn’t know then or care about Sterling.

if they trade for PG, then that means no AD and no 2020 title. does lebron still sign here knowing his #2 would be PG? i think its safe to say the lakers dodged a major bullet not giving up assets for him

I liked a couple of their teams.

I liked the Mark Jackson Ron Harper team in the early 90's and they competed and were fun to watch. I also like the Baron Davis Elton Brand teams, and the Darius Miles Lamar Odom teams. The obnoxiousness really kicked in during the 2010's making them more or less intolerable. Personalities like Chris Paul, Biff, Sterling, and Grease Face will do that to you.

Clippers are not the little brother. You love your little brother.

They are a stray cat that you fed out of pity and who now sneaks into your home and pees into your shoes.

i didn't start hating the clippers until they got kawhi/PG and spent that whole 19-20 season basically crowning themselves champions. it was beautiful watching them lose to denver the way they did

paul/griffin were both incredibly unlikable though
