The strategy of always over helping and leaving shooters open needs to stop. Ham must think that other teams shoot like we do
(Basically above) What went wrong: the game What went right: it ended If you want to really reach for silver linings: Bron only had to play 30 and JHS finally saw the floor (for better or worse)
Except expecting AD to handle a multi skilled “physical” player like Embiid with 2” and 30lbs on him isn’t realistic either. Maybe with the three big mobile wing defenders we were missing, especially Vando and Reddish, it would have worked better. Tough though when teams invariably all seem to shoot like that against us. All the injuries have sucked.
AD did just fine against Embiid mano a mano and he's outplayed him in the past. So you wanna try something and it's not working so you keep doing the same thing? No problem I don't have to like the game plan but ok to experiment but you let a red hot shooting team keep getting easy looks from 3 for.no reason? f*** that. Lakers got it within 11 looking good and then Prince and DLo just inexplicably double Embiid at the top of the 3 point line led to two open 3s and a open dunk. WTF is that?
Same. Good kind of Prince made some shots finally in the second half. Progress? Bad - 40 point loss is not ok. Yeah, maybe not leaving guys open from three would help when they hit like 14 of them in the first half.
Against the 76ers, we played great...for the first 2 minutes. The other 46? Naw, man... WTF is up with a contested rebound where AD goes up with one hand? I've yet to see an NBA player jump up straight with two other guys going for a rebound, and a guy palms the ball in midair and comes down with the board. I think I would've remembered. Maybe I saw it. Did Connie Hawkins do it? I saw him make a shot once: he shot it behind the back - like a pass - and it went in. Chick Hearn about had a coronary. I think he also played with the Globetrotters. Connie, not Chick.
when teams make 20 threes on near 50% shooting from there, they don't lose. the fact that we contributed with our now typically historically bad shooting means you lose by 1000.
These clowns. They think the Bulls are going to pull a Double Eagle on us? The bad karma for again being that stupid that after the Russ disaster might be existential for the franchise.
Reaves is a better player than Lavine: no way the Lakers pull that. Lavine contract is an albatross and he's by fart he worst player to have a max contract.
Really nothing we haven't heard. 12-8 or 11-9 after 20 games with Cam and Jared being close to coming back; Christie is improving. Vincent should be solid. Honestly, we're fine. If you want to make a smaller move (ahem Caruso), I'd be for that.
