Did Koufos sign with them? I didn't say anything about him rather the comparison of Wallace and Jordan. This is the defensive anchor theory and I'm not a big believer in that. Howard is supposedly a great defender too. Jordan can block shots so he chases them. Guys like Wallace played the position fundamentally through position and thought. Jordan does none of that. Pure athletic ability is his approach.

If it is Koufos, does he shoot a high enough % from the line to ensure that his poorer defense is even on the court in tight games?

I dont think 20 and 20 is possible, however 15-17 pts with 14-15 rebs is very reachable.

Well laid out. I'm a believer.

Did not know he was such an iron man. The Baron Davis factoid is telling. Thanks for that.

...I don't think it's just denial and stupidity. Arrogance comes to mind.

Look Rondo is a train wreck of late and DMC has always been one, but both of these idiots need to realize they have an opportunity with a good coach.

If Rondo wants to sabotage his future earning power then so be it. DMC on the other hand...well he's been rewarded with every misstep he's taken. Can't see him shaping it up but he's at least 2, possibly 3 years away from joining another team. I don't think Sacramento even entertains trading him until 2017.

By the way Phoenix still needs to clear salary off the books; I can't remember who they were offering, but it was something like 8.5 million they need to clear to sign Aldridge to max if I'm not mistaken

Point I was trying to make is that both of them have incentive to make this work. Not saying it'll happen.

I remember; the Suns needs to get rid of P.J. Tucker and one of the Morris twins...

    Select one from each:

Harris or Gerald Green (or Landry Fields?)
    Biyombo or Koufos
CJ Watson or Aaron Brooks or Norris Cole or Alexey Shved or Marcus Thornton

If they are coming on 2 year deals with a team option after 1 year maybe.

Koufos shoots well from the line, but he's never played more than 22 minutes per game. DJ's conditioning allows him to do that. DJ's not just a shot blocker. He's a defender.

Someone needs to slap them with the reality that Jerry West or Dr. Buss is not walking through the door and they have zero ability to close on deals with these top tier players.

Fields...Koufos...Brooks. Hedging on Harris given the Orlando situation.

I'll be back in a bit. I'm happy with these "second tier" players.
