Jimmy Butler hinted that Miami will go far in the playoffs again

Miami leader Jimmy Butler corrected the journalist, who, after the Florida team's opening game in the new NBA season , said that he would see the basketball player 81 more times.

    “Ninety-seven more games,” Butler said.

The defenseman hinted that the Heat will be in the playoffs for a long time. Last season the team reached the final.

Miami started season with 1-3 record..

Seems like a loss for Philly to not at least get Mann or Powel out of this.

But I can’t lie, I like this trade for the Clippers… as a Lakers fan

Their biggest strength against us has been a plethora of wings, and Morris/Batum specifically have killed us. Now they have another ball dominant guard who can’t defend instead, and their depth has taken a hit.

Yeah and I can't wait to see..D'Angelo and Austin trying to keep Westbrook and Harden out of the paint. This is not a good look for the good guys. Lol..we might snag Danny Green.

So a whole bunch of nothing for Harden and Tucker? All that postering to not even get Mann or Powell.

We’d get killed if we made a similar trade.

Harden hasn’t really worked out for anyone thus far so we will see. Not sure how well that group will coexist.

They don’t seem to have given up much though.

Thank god he's not coming here.
He's unplayable with Russ. That team makes no sense, let them stack up as they want, won't work.

i think morris has been done for a while and batum will be there any minute now. plus they got tucker back to replace batum's minutes in the rotation (morris was already all the way out of it).

they still have hyland, mann, plumlee, and powell off the bench. they're stacked, talent-wise.

i agree that it's a weird fit on paper, particularly with harden and russ as the backcourt defenders, but my guess is they'll just move PG and kawhi onto problematic guards, and harden and russ are actually better when they defend bigger guys (their lack of lateral quickness hurts less and abundance of strength helps).

curious as to where the extra 1st round pick is coming from if that report is true. if it's not, it's a swap and an unprotected future pick.

so i disagree that they're weaker today than yesterday. they're definitely stronger today. but man, they don't care at all about what's happening post-kawhi (and that's going to be here very soon). the main reason i hate this deal is because lebron is going to use it as leverage for us to trade everything not nailed down for draymond green or zach lavine or something.

It will backfire but they still got better. Philly is a joke though, Embiid must be hella happy :D

stronger sure, but i have a very hard time seeing a team led by two oft-injured stars in their 30s plus harden who is also in his 30s going very far in the playoffs

I can't imagine Embiid is excited about the returning help, but Morey didn't do bad. Maybe he has more moves in mind by the trade deadline.

i don't think so, either, but most contending teams are in a similar boat. we've got lebron and AD as huge injury risks, philly has embiid (are they still contenders now?), denver has murray and mpj (not their most important guy, but they're not deep), gs has...everyone. really, only boston can make the claim that their two most important players are likely to be available and healthy, and even they have porzingis and horford as their only credible bigs, and either or both could be out.

harden's basically to the clips what russ was supposed to be for us. save for one important detail: harden can shoot. even if he can't do much else, he'll have that.

the future picks situation there is pretty insane, though. and it's not like they can hope to recoup any of those via trading their stars before they expire. the clippers have mortgaged pretty much everything, which is something i REALLY wanted (and want) us to avoid. we basically have the same shot at a title as they do, but we might still have a chance to not suck for a decade after lebron retires. them? they're screwed. and they haven't built their brand to the point where guys would want to come there and rescue the franchise like lebron did here. luka ain't joining the clips for a rebuild, for example.

Suns and Clipps will make it to the WCF in every NBA 2K simulation imaginable.

Neither have the horses for the 98 game run (82 + min number of playoff games).

Both will be really good when everyone is healthy, but I don't expect either to make it on glue and tape alone.
