i'm hoping that by the time our major pieces are trade eligible, there might actually be better options on the table.

Oubre and Derozan would be an interesting duo at SF for Philadelphia.

 

the derozan/harden trade makes some sense to me. though i think it would mean another trade for chicago (lavine going out for a couple good role players).

 

If Chicago’s flaming out and needed to make some change for going forward … be it saving some money on contracts or roster needs …. is there any reasonable ask of them from the Lakers for the Eagle back and Vucevic?

 

They might like D'Angelo and Rui? Not sure if the money works or not.

 

to me, dlo/rui should be enough. vucevic is getting old and is and will be overpaid. caruso is hugely valuable, but not when you're a 10th place team. we might have to throw protected swap rights in, though.

i'd actually be on the fence, tbh. as much as i love the eagle, vucevic is a problem defensively, and that's going to get worse. again, i think there should be better options once teams see who they are and where they're going this year.

Yeah that’s not realistic on their part to ask for and we wouldn’t.

 

i'm guessing they'll get a 1st and salary relief for the eagle at the deadline. maybe a fully unprotected 1st, though, which, from a contender a few years out could be quite valuable. and i wouldn't offer that in our position.
