Yeah, I didn't say great, but they've gone to the playoffs 14 of the last 15 years. They won a ring in the last five. Players like that. The Clippers have nothing close to that in terms of consistency.

He has to have a top 2 or 3 at this point. If we aren't in it, tell us. I highly doubt a 4 to 1 jump in his standings is coming.

I've given some reasons why for Dallas. And if you've ever been in an unhappy work environment it's not hard to see why he'd bolt. Jordan is from TX; lots of people would rather be in Dallas than LA. Hard for Lakers fans to believe that sometimes.

Let it be known, Dallas has consistently stayed somewhat competitive, while maintaining cap space for moves like this.

Cuban always went 2nd tier if he struck out. Matthews, Rondo, Monta, Parsons, Chandler. He's reaping the rewards right now of a prized FA.

Easier to jump from playoff team to playoff team rather than to a lottery team. Even if, IMO, the Mavs aren't going to be that good considering injuries and age.

Actually...the CLippers are completely screwed if DJ leaves...they do not have cap room to sign somebody like Koufos or Bismack...they spent that on Paul Pierce with their mini MLE I believe and they're already over the cap....

Do they even have any cap space to sign anyone?

I wonder if this makes him upset at CP3 because CP3 helped drive DJ away.

The Clippers do NOT have cap space to sign anybody...already used mini MLE on Pierce, and were already over the cap with DJ...it was DJ or bust for them...or maybe they do a sign & trade with Dallas but not sure what theyll get back other than maybe a first round pick?

Lol holy crap...they are this year's version of the Rockets in terms of making moves and then ultimately having it all blow up in your face....

I thnk theyre' still a playoff team...but man, they probably go down a few spots...with Dallas probably right with them....man the west will be interesting next year if LMA also bolts for Phoenix....

Emplay is saying Clips will have about $2 million to spend since without Deandre, they're no longer in the tax and they get full MLE instead of just mini-MLE. Still not much.
