If anything will truly make me smile today despite our own Lakers problems its knowing the Clips are screwed if DJ does not return because without them they're defense is terrible.

Dallas is a fun place to be, Cuban loves his players and treats them well, and they consistently put together good teams.

Give me the shot blocking "savant". Like the sound of that. Not familiar with any of them. LOL

I'll say it again guys. With LMA or DJ it would still be a grind to make the playoffs. Our future rests on Russell and Randle. If they suck it won't matter who we sign this offseason. If they turn out to be studs, it probably won't be until the last year of Aldridge's contract anyway. If our lineup next season is

    Black/Upshaw/Sacre
    Randle/Kelly/Nance
    Kobe/Nance/Brown
    Clarkson/Swaggy
    Russell/Price

It'll be OK. We won't win a ton of games, but Russell, Randle, and to a degree, Clarkson will get valuable xp and will show whether or not they have "it." If Russell and Randle show they do, then free agents will come running.

If you build it, they will come. We haven't built anything yet. We have some beautiful pieces, but right now they are lying in a heap on the floor. I forget who, but someone posted Tarik Black's numbers and they are similar, if not better than Robin Lopez, a guy people were having an aneurysm over. We may have the 3rd best center out of the draft in Upshaw.

Durant WILL be interested in coming here if Russell and Randle look great and Clarkson continues to improve.

Everyone here bought into the hype we were going to score big in free agency. Transversely, everyone here is buying into the media hype that we have no hope. The league is going small and a lineup of Black/Randle/Kobe/Clarkson/Russell can compete from a size perspective. Skill wise, they are a couple years away, but stop giving the national media and other fans the satisfaction of watching us flail away in our sorrows.

I'm happy the Clippers will suck again, but Dallas is going to be interesting.

First time coming on today in the middle of a family reunion. Seems like DJ is Dallas bound and LMA still has us by the extremities?

Yeah, if we really do strike out on everyone (including Harris), I'm not gonna be too down on next season. I'll still have a lot more fun watching Russel, Randle, and Clarkson (and hopefully Kobe) then I did watching Clarkson and Wes Johnson...

If we could get Biyombo and Brewer, that'd be nice.

It takes time to make these decisions, uproot yourself and your family, and decide where you'll be spending the next four+ years of your life. Additionally, nothing is official until the 10th. It sucks as a fan, but if you were in that position, wouldn't you want the time to weigh these things? It's pretty routine in academia to have a job offer and be weighing it on a deadline and then receive another offer. I've had to deal with it. It's not easy.

Respectfully, f*** no. Spend the money where we need it. Not winning crap this year and have enough potential Bigs to play the game. Some potentially quite good. Biz for defense. small forward, back up combo guard. Do not give up assets to do it.
