Yeah for all the crap P Jax got over the last season, he has done pretty damn well in the last few days. I think they still have like $8 million left in cap space too.

Not to mention the Knicks are in the East where the competition isn't as strong... Build a solid core to field a squad that will play better as a whole then find that centerpiece to take it over the top.

Morale is very low here. Our Lakers are gonna be ok. Even if don't get the best FA's we'll still get some pieces and be better than last year.

And the point I'm trying to make is that alot of folks (not just you) are thinking waaaay too pessimistically; even below the general consensus of a non-Laker fan. All media has our draft grade as A or A+ just for picking D'Angelo. If you're not buying into that, and feel that he won't even reach Afflalo status, our draft grade would be a F. So yes, I think you've become unable to think objectively. Everything, including our rookies, have turned into worst-case scenario.

Folks, if Melo is healthy that Knicks team will be right there for a playoff spot in the East. We, on the other hand, will probably do just enough to not get our draft pick.

No kidding. This thread has turned into a WMC thread. A terrible vibe.

I have a ton of faith in Russell and Randle. I honestly believe Russell will put up Lilard Rookie numbers.

The Knicks did what everyone in the world seems to be begging our front office to do. They realized they had no shot at the big guys and then moved on to other targets. I don't fault us for trying to get Aldridge or DJ, but to sit here twiddling our thumbs while these guys decide to go some place else is just dumb.

We may be better than last year but the thing is that all the western conference teams got better. The only team worse than us is the Twolves and they will probably be better than us this year considering how things are going for the Lakers right now. The Kings may look like a mess right now but they still got demarcus cousins and had a better record than us last year. As of now, I think we may be looking at last place in western conference this year unless the kings team becomes chaotic.

I have been one of the most vocal Russell supporters on here. I like Randle too. I honestly think they will have good seasons. Even with them having great years 30 wins will be a struggle in the West.

Honestly, if Kobe gets hurt early we will keep our pick next year.

It's called a rebuilding season for a reason. We've been spoiled with Kobe.

Not to mention we are #1 in players lost to injuries for two consecutive seasons

DJ and LMA will make up their minds today or tommorrow. There are alot of quality FA's left that were waiting. We have 23 million to spend. We'll be fine.

LMA doesn't come to a 2nd meeting if there was no shot at signing him.

I understand that we're rebuilding. Eventually all teams go through it. The thing is you said that our team will be better and maybe you will be right, but as of now I don't think our record and position in the standings will really change.
