Theyre both young they can split the 48 in half equally and if upshaw shows something we can even have trade bait at the deadline by using one of the bigs

Sacre should be the 15th man he shouldnt even be in the active roster

What would you guys grade this offseason.....

    Davis - 6
    Afflalo - 8
    Kosta - 6
    KJ - 4
    Dorell Wright - Room

    Russell / JC
    Kobe / KJ /Wright
    Afflalo / Young / Brown
    Randle / Black/ Kelly / Nance
    Kosta / Davis / Upshaw

I ask this because I'm trying to think of the most average/blue collar lineup we could field if we weren't looking to land only big time FAs.

Is it sexy? Nope. Is it a damn solid team? Yup. Does it set us up for next season to chase stars? Yup. Does it show we have a plan? Yup. Is it realistic? Very

I just hope we dont go out and trade for someone just to have a "star"

Always liked Brewer.. He's not a game changer, but he's a solid player.

Harris/Brewer + Koufos/Biyombo is not a horrible offseason if none of the bigs come our way.

Oh, I see; this was prior to actual signings? Because Afflalo and Davis got a bit more than that. Right?

It's hypothetical. What we could of done at the start of free agency instead of chase our tail.

Thats the issue this fo has they dont look towards the mid tier free agents theyre strictly looking for the BIG FA star

Its stupid because you already know what a star is gonna give you. Theyre consistent, the X factor ends up being the role players if you have 3 stars that give you 20-25 points a piece i don't t care who you are if your bench is scoring 10ppg youre not winning anything and youre running your stars into the ground

A WINNING team has a mix of stars & role players both young & vets

Seems like our FO cant grasp that concept. Its all out or nothing. Not very smart

As for your lineup they can easily win an extra 20 games than last year and put us in a better position to attract more players but our FO is waiting for LA to say no before they pick up the scaraps that are left

I wanted Lopez at a lower price and/or if it helped get us LMA. Do not want at that price. Lopez is solid defensively but he's not a game changer. I'll take Biyombo or Kosta but I'm also not opposed to Black as our center. He seems to understand how to carve a niche for himself in this league and that's defense and rebounding. If we're going to overpay iI'd rather do it for a defensive minded wing.

They can have him. Knicks are desperate to throw money at someone/anyone that'll join their crap team

I'm trying to find the source, but I think I read that Kosta had stupidly high defensive efficiency at the rim last season too. Like top 4 in the league.

In that case, I'd give it a solid B.
It fills all our needs with solid pieces all around.

I don't think we're as desperate as the Knicks. Their fan base and franchise player is angry at them so they have to do it.

Our roster right now vs theirs is so much better. Even with RoLo there
