Seriously! Just genuine and open with his replies always. You don’t get the not look the interviewer in the eye cliche answers. And not filthy with it but unafraid to use the eff word in his normal conversation to make his points. Such a versatile word
Let's say Austin shoots over 40% from deep this season. Not a wild thought in the least as he's been doing it since the deadline and becoming a starter, in the playoffs and this summer in FIBA ball plus pre-season games. And with his strong mental confidence and lack of fear in big moments, highly unlikely to go into a prolonged slump. How many players in the league do that PLUS have his repertoire for scoring, handle the ball as well as he does, have his size, are as great a play maker and passer as he is, play above average to good defense and are as intelligent on the floor as he is?
If healthy and playing 32 minutes, he should be an all-star this season. At least vote-wise. And this time, the coaches will have a hard time skipping over him.
The way Austin is playing it is not out of the question that he will be our second most important player by playoff time. He brings out the best in both AD and DLO and makes the right plays most of the time, can score when needed and very clutch. This isn't a lowering of LeBron as much as an elevation of Austin.
75% from 3. 50% overall on 8 shots. 3 assits. 4 rebounds. 14 points. 23 minutes. Dammit. AR is the prime example of someone who could get 25/7/7 on a bad team playing 35 minutes a night and having a high usage... So... imagine all these sophomores and 3rd year players, all these Ants and Giddeys and Barneses and Wagners and Cunnighams and what not. We got one better. I mean, you can't convince me he isn't better than LaMelo.
Loved it. I hate Grayson so much, dirty POS. he looks like a 50 year old senator from the Midwest who's a second cousin to Ted Cruz.
Anyone have a clip of AR's awkward shot flop trying to draw a foul? I love this kid to death, but I don't want him to fish so hard for fouls that he starts flopping.
