I'll post the ones significant to the Lakers. To see the rest, head to the link What the f*** are they smoking? Sorry, just no. C Bags don't get 23% for just Holiday. Rest of their moves are bad and they lost a lot in the process. I know I said I was keeping this to Laker ones, but come on with this... Porzingis, Brooks, and Nurk? Well, I guess it doesn't specify that the impact has to be positive I have the same questions about the three from the previous poll. Also not sure Brown can be underrated when factoring in his price tag. Since he's dominating discussion in these parts...
I'm so sick of this narrative that Giannis is some incredible, all-time defensive player. He rarely anchors their defense and never guards premier wing players for as "versatile" as he supposedly is. They just have him come off the weak side to challenge shots at the rim. They use him like the C Bags used Robert Williams. Still a very good defensive player, but best in the league is a joke.
That entire list should be printed out and framed behind glass at the Lakers / UCLA practice facility.
Well, let's see in the upcoming season, without Holiday, and with Lopez getting even older, with a new coach and a new defense, how good Giannis is.
the "last year" notes should be sobering and put it all in context. these guys are paid to run nba teams. btw, i guess if you bet on the C Bags ten consecutive years, you're bound to be right once.
that's great "chip on your shoulder" material if you are motivated by such things. It's clear AD is much more highly regarded here than elsewhere. He barely scratched lists as "mentioned" that he's capable of dominating. But then again, he's had booboos, and they aren't as sympathetic to that as they should be in their rankings.
Whoever voted for JJJJJJJJJ in ANYTHING over AD should be banned from ever speaking on any sports matters. We've seen his a** being useless against 2nd grade bigs in the World Cup. Same in the playoffs. Truly, the Chris Paul of centers (if you know, you know).
Nice to see expectations of nearly 40 year old Lebron with high mileage coming back down to earth. Pretty unrealistic to project him to be the best at anything except leadership to be fair - whether it's due to load management or not.
tbh, lebron looked pretty old in the preseason action so far. i hope we find a lighter role for him in the offense this year and can reduce his minutes. i still think he can turn a playoff series by himself, but he can't be worn down when we get there.
Would still provide quite a return tbh, but it will never happen. BUT, if we were being objective, it's not a completely crazy idea. But we will attract future stars in their twilight years because they know we took care of our own past their primes like Kobe and Bron Bron.
Bron will do just fine, but at this point in his career he has to be load managed. He will do a little bit of everything, as usual, which I think is impressive... but this is why we have depth now, especially at the wing. Need to get his minutes under control and he'll do great. I learned not to bet against this dude until he's officially retired.
