yep: the number of people with the talent to play in the NBA is relatively large. The number of people with the talent who are willing to put in the work, stay out of trouble, etc is much smaller

is it that or is it about the number of picks? i could see either. my guess is morey's got a third team ready to give him a player he wants IF they can get...whatever it is he's trying to extract from the clippers.

it would be a bit funny if it was about mann, who's kind of an unremarkable bench player. like if he played for the lakers and we were holding him out of a deal for an allstar due to his value (8/3/2 and not even a great defender), it would be a national news story.

 

Sounds like it's both based on Woj's reporting yesterday. Clippers are shopping their pick around for a swap, because the current Clippers pick being offered isn't appealing enough. Clipps don't go full tank often enough for that pick to weigh enough.

The original reporting was player(s) who can impact their winning + picks. Doesn't sound like that's changed at all.

 

What's weird about all these Clippers move is that still depends on Kawhii and George are healthy. The numbers with Mann starting and those 2 healthy are ridiculously good.
The question for the Clips is if you don't trust one of those 2 to be healthy which is a safe bet can you still win a title if you get Harden or you better off taking the health risk as there is only one basketball between all these guys?

In other words, Harden makes more sense if you think 1 of your 2 stars is actually going to be out!

i wouldn't read too much into a game where doncic barely played and kyrie didn't.

i will say that the game that both played, it was clear kidd hadn't devised on offense that really maximizes both guys' talents.

i'm happy with dlo (unlike many here), but i wouldn't be at all surprised if the kyrie to la thing becomes real in dec-feb this year.
