Who would be cheaper, Koufos or Bismack?

I like Tarik a lot. He's not Robin Lopez. Looking at per-36 minutes on those two doesn't work.

Probably Bismack, but that's because Koufos is better.

I don't get the infatuation with Biyambo...he was essentially released by Charlotte, a bad team. What am I missing, when I've seen him play he registers zip with me.

I still like how Boom Boom stacked up with the stats as a rookie, and with his strength, speed, potential skills, big hands and hops. For the money. And with how good he may be as many years in as R. Lopez now. Since we have Upshaw in the wings (please lord). Do not want any part of freaking Hibbert.

Great post. But we have to consider that Black came in during the middle of the season, with no training camp and was adjusting to the team on the fly. And RoLo was playing next to an allstar. Black is a hard worker and has me excited in what he can do next year.

At this point I'd welcome Cory Brewer gladly even though I'm not the biggest fan of his game. Beggar's can't be choosers. Like you said he's about 100 times better than Wes, so I'd be fine with it, but only on a short contract.

His defense. This is a good read.

    http://bballbreakdown.com/2015/02/04/how-bismack-biyombo-helped-turn-around-the-hornets-season/

"When Jefferson is on the court this year, the Hornets defensive rating is 103.9., but when Biyombo is on the court, the Hornets defensive rating plummets to 96.5."

I like Tarik a lot, especially for the value but the difference is size. As hard as Tarik works, he's only about 6'8" or 6'9". That's really short for a Center. Robin is a legit 7 feet tall and plays the same type of game. Robin is a better player than Tarik. Any numbers trying to say otherwise are misguided.

Tarik is listed at 6'11 257lbs. He has length, needs some girth.

RoLo 7ft 255lbs. Maybe Black doesn't need girth.

I agree that Tarik is not equal to RoLo....Yet. But paying 13 mil for the same type of player seems ill-advised, especially when considering Black's inevitable growth in his 2nd year.
