https://x.com/lakersreporter/status/1710011851478827107?s=46&t=VpASWooOp-c0BfbMzXjnIw Give Max every last minute Beverley got and then add 5-8 minutes more per game. He’s our new Dog on the perimeter for real along with Vando and improved Hachimura. And Prince. And others I’m confident will play well too. Hell if JHS is looking this good already on D and is decent with the rest of his game and mid range, he’ll be available at a “thick” 6’6” as well.
see the footage of cp3 dunking off the bounce? i legit figured he couldn't do that anymore. by the time i was 37 i had probably lost a full foot of vertical.
I don't think I ever had a full foot of vertical to lose to start with lol. Playing the old man game when young
lol, it's hard to believe now, but my coach measured my vertical at 37" the last year i played (junior year of hs). i stopped being able to touch the rim around age 32 or so (i'm only 5'10"), and now the thought of leaving the floor makes my back hurt. so when i saw cp dunk that one i was pretty impressed. i'm not sure he's even 6ft, tbh.
I tried my a** off while playing in HS and just P/U games in college to touch that sum bit*h but closest I could get was less than an inch. White and 5’8.5”.
At 6-2, I could dunk. Barely. Then after I destroyed my knee when I was 20, that was over with. Can't even get rim now. Love seeing new vets come in and start teaching/mentoring out of the gate (unless it's Pat Bev and in that case, f*** you, you bum). Not that common when you are a team with only two players who are 30+.
i think gabe's spot is secure, plus--more importantly--the bag is secure. we shouldn't have to worry about rui, vando, or gabe getting their feathers ruffled about minutes this year. i mean, sure everyone wants to play, but this won't be a "you're costing me money" thing.
The potential name though. It's perfect. Someone on X/Twitter caught it. It's "Ruihanna." No Bron or AR. In line with what they've been saying, post Team USA play they're taking it easy on Austin. Don't get comfy is all I'm going to say.
