I think all these rich guys have consultants who see those figures and see if we can split some LA county and you have no team in OC and SD that will give you a bigger market than even a great basketball city like Seattle?
Still surprising that he didn't try to relocate to Seattle as the state of Washington has close to 8 million folks and all those folks are going to be Sonics fans with a historically great fanbase.

If he wanted the Socal weather I would have put a stadium at close to Dana Point between OC/SD and go back to the clippers original CA roots further south. Competing against teams like the Lakers, Yankees, Giants, get you nowhere

 

i always thought ballmer would move them to seattle. i don't get it, tbh.

The 12th pick of the 2021 draft, Joshua Primo (20 years old, 198 cm), will continue his career with the Clippers on a two-way contract, ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Primo was released by San Antonio last October after allegations of exhibitionism. Former Spurs psychologist Hillary Cauthen said the basketball player exposed himself to her during sessions. This started in December 2021 and has happened nine times.

Primo’s behavior went unchecked by the organization’s leadership for many months.”

According to the lawsuit, Cauthen began working with the Spurs in September 2021 as a contractor. Cauthen is accusing Primo of exposing his genitals to her nine times during “individual private sessions, despite her numerous complaints about Primo’s improper sexual conduct to the organization’s leadership.”

 

According to the lawsuit, nothing was done after that meeting and Cauthen was asked to meet with Primo again, which she did, this time in a “public setting.” But Cauthen said Primo “again exposed his penis,” and Cauthen ended the session early and then declined attempts by Primo to have another meeting at a later date, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit also states that Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich “was aware of her complaints and accusations and that he ‘wanted to do right by her.'”

 

i'm a little surprised primo got another nba deal before doing time in europe, tbh. the pr hit probably isn't worth the return.

…. to be clear from what I recall I’m not blaming her. She valued her job and I’m assuming when she was sure it was intentional, not say accidental flashing the first time (if there was even any question) and after a number of times he continued to do it (probably) after she asked or told him to knock it off …. she reportedly went through the proper avenues and apparently was failed by the organization for far too long a time to take care of her. Since also apparently they hoped she could offer some help to whatever problems he brought to her in the first place. And he kept getting scheduled meetings with her. Then finally (?) she went to Pop himself?

 

He probably was concerned she didn't see it the first few times. I don't see what the big deal is here.

and maybe the clippers have the personnel to survive a non-shooting pg who also doesn't play team defense very well, but most teams don't.
