thanks, jsm. i'm actually glad that dlo got the starting nod from the beginning. excited to see rui after all the talk. he's got some levels he can get to above what we've seen. big, skilled, fairly mobile. his real growth needs to be on defense, though. rob's quite a salesman.
Couple more... Lot of confidence in the room. Good stuff all around -- Bron, AD, Rui, DLO, AR. Liked seeing DLO had a couple workouts with the big 2. Little surprised we got the starting announcement. I was 97% sure DLO was going to be the starter, and I'm fine with him calling it already, still thought he'd let camp go a couple days first. Now who will be the finisher is the much more interesting question and I don't think it'll be DLO.
With his young age and size and skills, and how highly Handy thinks of him … Kawhi Leonard lite for a possible ceiling?
btw, i know rob has to say it, but i also agree on the fact that the denver series is drowning out everything else with dlo and shouldn't. his presence was a big reason teams had to defend us differently, and he had some good moments in the playoffs, too. choking is actually something i think guys can overcome with experience.
Totally agree. I think Dlo gets kind of a raw deal around here. He’s so good in the regular season I’m willing to give him another chance in the playoffs. Especially since his regular season play is so impactful his presence on the court alone raises our floor for playoff birth.
fans will be watching..... if he continues to talk smack like he's a major star, spends more time on his fashion than his game, and then shrinks in the playoffs again, he'll get all that he deserves and more. facts
