It's sad how they end up the 2nd season. Almost completely skipped a great 81/82 season playoffs W, but showing in full 1983 and 1984 losses? WTH is that? This is how you end a series about the greatest bball franchise ever and it's golden era? Shame.... Should have ended with 1985 W in foston. 3rd season (if ever) should be about 87-88 wins and may be Magic's illness. 4th season about 2000-2002 dynasty and Shaq's departure in 2004, 5th- about KB24 heroics in 2005-07 with 2008-2010 playoff runs as a crown of the series....))))
I watched the beginning of this but it was over the top and then all the guys in the movie, Magic, Worthy, etc all started making comments saying it was not nearly as OTP as the movie made everything out to be. It was pure Hollywood hype and I quit watching it about half way through the first season.
FO Magic!! It’s entertaining and superbly casted …. worth it just to see Jerry Buss himself who created it all. But you wouldn’t know would you? Wasn’t even worth your time, ALLEGEDLY, to even take a gander.
His “Sister” and lifelong friend finds great value but nope not good ole Magic. Who also sabotaged HER team the entire post season (even earlier with his quitting in the tunnel before it was over) … in 2019!
Oh lookee here! “Alas, Hecht said Johnson "backed out" after the first day of pitching the show. "I never heard from him directly, but I was told it was about money," he added.” Hearsay …. sure. But would anyone here flat out NOT believe it? Magic …. one of the GREATEST Lakers players EVER!! West, Baylor, Kareem, Kobe, Shaq …. included. Since then …. .
I saw an interview yesterday or day before with the producer or one of the “principal” players that I meant to post but got sidetracked … who said he was (pretty) confident it’s going to get continued. (somehow). Netflix probably, “hold my beer.”
obviously there are people on both sides of this equation. The problem is you really gotta be able to pull everyone in or you are destined to fail. And when you start complaining about people who don't feel the same way you do, well, dang, run for office.
I think this was it. The “Netflix, Hold my beer” comment was mine. https://lakersnation.com/lakers-news-winning-time-creators-dont-think-show-is-completely-over/
Did anybody watched Stephen Curry Underrated on Apple tv ? They say that compared to Winning time it is even worse Maybe it's because ongoing strike in Hollywood next sport movie is getting worse
