Feel free to disagree guys, but these international rules and the style of play are better and more fun to watch than the NBA, IMO. This is some gritty, old-school stuff right there. I'm sick & tired of "run around the screens, shoot the 3" basketball. Look at this GER-SRB game... full court defense, team ball, so good!

Pretty embarrassing by the US to let Brooks play the best game of his life. SGA looked the best player out there today. Guess the braintrust of Lue + Kerr + Spo wasn't that magical after all with their small ball and defensive schemes!

Totally agree, the NBA is screwing the game up and making our current players unplayable in international ball.

Honestly didn’t watch the games and haven’t paid much attention overall. My brain is fully in football mode right now.

Not surprised at the outcome though. We just didn’t put to gather a good team.

Maybe we will take it more seriously next go around.

yeah, and i mean, we lost by two and in OT. it's not like we were terrible.

really, the bits i saw was mostly about defense (and this is what reaves kept saying). i'm not sure sending our best talent takes care of just not being ready to play team defense as the international game requires.

i keep repeating this, but even against the bad teams, we were giving up good shots and deep, easy penetration. some of that's on coaches, some of that's on players not being invested enough on that end, very little of it is about talent, though.

We're giving up that speed on point of attack defense and speed getting to the rim and grit, for decent point of attack defense, ability to switch up in size better, more consistent outside shooting (hopefully) and grit (hopefully as much) .... with Gabe.
