I agree, Castleton is not ready. His defense is not polished enough as he seems to miss a lot of plays. He has his moments for sure but not enough to be on the varsity squad.

    Shrug. ;)

And mine "remains" the same, Darvin hates playing guys that can ONLY score". See Thomas Bryant last year after AD came back.

Are you THAT certain that 4 or even 5 months from now, after intensive training and learning on everything he won't earn minutes off the bench with good matchups against other 4s or 5s to contribute something on the "varsity squad" just like Reaves did his 1st season, who looked less impressive in SL, and just like Christie did his first season, who also looked less impressive his first SL?

Do you actually watch games or do you go off of, what the internet says? Did you see our games against Dallas? Did you somehow notice that Wood's defense was that terrible? Or better yet, did you see our superior defenders locking him down? SMH man you guys are going overboard with this Christian Wood s***. Like for real..lol..now he's a T.Bryant type of guy defender?.BS. His defensive rating was similar to Jarred's last season. On a "team" that didn't try to guard anybody.

Again I have no idea, who we actually pick up, but if he can't score, he won't get much burn.

That's because AD came back and we didn't need him. Until D'Angelo went MIA.

LOLOL .... I have learned from my own eyes versus your repeated over and over never yielding anything opinions (Westbrick) and if not my own eyes then the consensus of the vast majority here and on line VS your always wearing "contrarian" like a banner. That is MY opinion on that.

nah, I am talking right now, this instant. I do like him and hope you are correct but it will take some solid work to get him there. I have watched his defense that past couple of summer league games and he has been very inconsistent to me. He has made some solid plays but doesn't always read the switches correctly and seems to be out of place too often. He could work on that and get better at it. He has the hops, just not the experience. Whether he can make those adjustments in just 4-6 months, remains to be seen but I am not going to doubt him, would rather pull for him.

Westbrook doesn't play here anymore..you can't ride the Westbrook escape pod forever dude.

So..we saw Wood 4 times this season what did your eyes tell you specifically? I couldn't care less about the vast majority..I'm talking about what specifically did LT see?

Don't have an my own eyes opinion on Wood. See last half of my comment above.

And yeah Westbrook is gone but not MY memory of you making that whole experience a season and a half of insult added to injury.

I'm with you on this one: positional needs have also changed. With the emergence of Rui, signing of Prince, and Christie pushing his way into the rotation: there is just less of a positional need for Vanderbilt. Center OTOH we only have one backup big and he wasn't offered the rookie extension. Need more bigs to throw at Denver/Jokic as the lakers have plenty of bodies now to throw at guards/centers.

I wasn't talking to other posters, I was talking to you. I address them separately. I still haven't seen a single guy talk about the games we've played against this dude. I see a lot of "internet gurus" take on the subject though. I'll post his stats against us again.

    https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/christian-wood-game-stats-vs-lakers

Westbrook went 22-22 with Lebron and AD. If their a**** would have showed up for work..it would be a better conversation. Lol..I say it again...let them jokers play in 21 games this season...we ain't winning jack. Playoffs? 1st round exit.

I was alluding to this sudden glut of 3/4 in another thread. I love Jarred, he's a local kid, but AD needs help..and Hayes ain't it IMO. But I'm rocking with, whoever we decide to roll with, at the end of the day. I just don't see anything wrong, with talent, legit scoring, rebounding, and 3pt shooting talent, at a position of need.

That's the ticket .... embrace the parody of being forever Captain Obvious on that statement, which had nothing to do with who Westbrook is as a player now.

Lol..you still sidestep that s*** tho. The main thing is still always the main thing to me. Foh..with that captain obvious stuff...judging from the conversation, it evidently wasn't that damn obvious.

Once Castleton improves on defense, by learning how to play it well without fouling, he will be a great backup C. I’m hoping maybe half way through this season, but won’t be surprised if he doesn’t get his chance until next season.
