didn't realize hernangomez was out there. he might be #1 for me. i probably don't want to venture past wenyen at 5, tbh. i'm unfamiliar with yurtseven. griffin's not a c at all. dedmon might be ded. love boban but he's an assistant coach/player development guy at this point. when's the last time leonard played?

yurtseven was playing well for the heat two seasons ago before getting hurt. he'd probably be #2 on my list behind biyombo

Wood on a minimum contract, would be the steal of Free Agency. The amount of production, that he provides with his minutes, is excellent IMO. The guy was undrafted (Houston gave him his 1st G-LEAGUE contract in 2015) He bounced around the league for a while, trying to catch on, until he landed in Detroit in 2019. He got a chance to play there, and showed enough for the Rockets to nab him again.

Wood can score, he put up 20pts or more, 24 times, and over 30pts twice in Dallas. The recent chatter is Miami or LA, IDK..It would be a huge win for either team, and on a deep discount to boot.

The only "local gossip" about Wood, that I know of, is that he's not shy about getting into practice scuffles, and that he didn't get along, with some of the young guys here. IDK.. I'd take him in a heartbeat. The guy played on bad teams, and produced across the board in the minutes he played, that's " stat stuffing" these days I guess. We could use a stat stuffer big then.

Yeah, I went with the top 10 list partially for that exact reason to demonstrate how limited the options are.

THAT’s why I’ve been so interested in Christian Wood, trust me I’m not a delusional Wood fan who isn’t aware of his obvious flaws and risks lol. I think at some point someone had mentioned him as a MLE target and I just about threw up.

But if he was willing to come for the minimum, it would be very tough to pass on him for Wenyen Gabriel

Wonder what else the Mavs have cooking. Front court is a little heavy: Holmes, Kleber, Powell, Grant Williams, Lively, McGee, and then OMP will get some PF minutes.

McGee is clearly the odd man out but that extra year on the deal makes it tough to dump or buyout.

when it's three consecutive teams, it stops being "local gossip" and starts being "big issues that aren't solvable". i refuse to believe that all these teams that paid him/needed him to help them win just didn't give him the proper chance or whatnot. he's a me-first guy who's about to take a 90% paycut that is the next step on the way to greece unless he--finally, at like 28 years old--gets it.

i think it's possible the mavs stretch/waive mcgee, and it's possible we're waiting on that. i don't love it. the mavs carved out a spot for him and it took them all of like, 6 games to completely pull the plug on it.

I would wait on any more signings. Some centers with ugly contracts have the possibility of getting waived during the season. The Lakers would then have an advantage of signing them because of Rob's astute use of the MLE.

What were all these teams that you keep talking about dude? He was an undrafted G Leauger man. ???

He didn't getting burn until Detroit, impressed the Rockets enough to go get him. He played well in Houston, the team just sucked, that wasn't his fault.

You keep going on and on about this guy, like he was a former lottery pick that hasn't panned out. Ridiculous take...look at his stats..he's a productive player in 20mins or more.

Last year was supposed to be that eye opening season for him. Before his first game with Dallas it was being framed as, if he doesn't get it together he'll be on a minimum contract next year. ... and guess what, here we are. Whining over playing time, not starting, and being disruptive with that last season told me he's just not going to get it. There's been a few locker room things in the past couple years on top of that. Nope. I'm good. Unless he's carrying Luka's bags for him, I'm not interested.

I could see that. I like him, so I'm cool with it. If we're serious about Hayes being anything more than a flyer, I like it more. Young McGee was very similar to Hayes without the off the court problems. So if anyone can get through to him and expedite that...

    1) you have to carry 14 players now, so that's not an option.
    2) even if that wasn't the case, we're too thin up front. AD is going to miss games. Need another body in the middle and can't wait until buyout season.

Your view on stats are skewed considering your thoughts on Westbrook.

You keep going on about a guy who multiple teams have happily moved on from.

That's why these bigs aren't rushing to get the minimum. Until this money dries up, what's the rush?

Westbrook ain't here anymore, some of you cats, still seem to be more obsessed with Rus than I supposedly was. Wood to the LA is a flat out steal. 16 pts ,7 reb, and 38% from 3 on 5 att per game? Bump all that noise.
    Bring him on asap.
