After all these free agents that were available all we got was Vincent ?

 

again, to be clear: i think vincent is worth 11m per. i just don't know if it was right for us. still things to happen, though.

i mean, i could argue the same for dlo and the wcf, and people want to burn him at the stake.

 

The Gabe Vincent signing is bad BUT he is still tradeable...3yrs33M is a very cheap deal in respect to the market.

Let's see how the rest of the chips fall...we better sign Rui, Reaves and DLO. I think Gabe Vincent should be coming off the bench so we need DLO to start. But I hvae a feeling Vincent will become a punching bag if he's not producing....so he has a lot of pressure on him to begin. It's easy to play well when nobody knows who you are...but now youre on the Lakers, you can't hide behind the underdog label anymore.

I hope I'm wrong about Gabe but in a vacuum I do not liek this deal at all because we essentially dumped Bamba/Beas/Schroder for an undersized PG who's had ONE good postseason and has been a bench player up until the playoffs and Herro's injuries.

 

I wonder if we can bring in Kendrick Nunn too

 

whoa. anything to keep teams out of the RFA market is good by me.

 

my biggest concern is that there doesn't seem to be a S&T market for DLo that could bring back anything of need. So now we just lose DLo or Dennis for nothing. I watched a lot of Miami playoff games and Vincent is feisty on D and hit clutch shots, but I agree, I'm not sure how we round this all out. I'll wait and see though.

 

btw, didn't get to comment, but i actually liked the mavs getting kyrie to 3/126. i thought 4/160 was the best they could do. now, even if he goes full kyrie, they can maybe still recoup some value from him.

 

right. now we lost beasley, bamba, and either schroder or dlo for thin air. that's not good.

 

this Vincent contract stinks of Rob being horny from his playoff run and disregarding his career stats.

if it was half the MLE I could probably stomach it, but 11M a year is a tough one to swallow.

 

I like Vincent but that was a bad signing tbh...

We still haven't addressed our need for a big. If we could have just brought back DLo and then Schroder with a mle split...
