Ok I see your perspective. It's all a bit positionless anyway nowadays.
I wouldn't be surprised if Max takes Troy's place in the regular season rotation. I think he's solid as the 8/9 guy.
On the position, again positionless so potato/potáto. But few teams play big at the 3, usually is a corner 3 guy, Max should be fine in those scenarios. He rebounds well too.

    My pipe dream for tomorrow

    Dlo | Nowell | JHS
    Reaves | Brown | Lewis
    Vando | Max | Reddish
    LeBron | Rui | Gabriel
    AD | Eubanks | TT

yeah, harden's not going for PG. he's going for whatever junk the clips want to give. which is why i think morey is getting played here. i think i'd have called his bluff. the sixers' books are basically clean next year. they have embiid under contract. worst case, the sixers own their '24 pick. they can rest embiid, make use of maxey's small cap hold, and just totally re-tool in a year around an mvp candidate.

i just don't see what the clippers have that would tempt me. even mann/powell is pretty meh. i think i could possibly spend my space next year better than those two.

maybe it's a larger deal brewing.

now i *would* consider herro for harden just straight up, tbh. not because they're equivalent, but i just think herro can play off embiid, is young, and is a controlled asset.

but if miami is on the very short dame list, i don't waste any assets on harden.

Thought I had heard Indiana was going to be targeting Barnes, hopefully this doesn’t result in them pivoting towards Rui

    Nice angle.
Dejounte is a FA next year for example. He surely prefers to play with Embiid than Trae. He's the only star though that might be available. But he would be a nice swoop. Then you have a few mid tier guys like Trent (nice pairing with Maxey), Tyus Jones, Kyle Anderson or Dinwiddie

Makes total sense to let him walk with Tobias, I guess many players would fancy a move to Philly

Surprised he stayed. Wonder what they target now with their remaining money.

Thought Kuz to Sac was going to happen. Wonder if Kuz got more somewhere else. Not sure he would choose to stay in Washington for a couple millions more. He's probably getting the bag

I doubt that offer is even there any more from Washington since they're in tear it down mode.

Maybe he goes home to Detroit?

Washington basically has free money for 3 to 5 years. They are starting from scratch with no building block. So they need to get at least 3 high picks to start building something. Until there, they gotta pay someone. Kuz is entertaining, can give you a 40pt game that makes the fan in the stadium have something to tell and doesn't make you good enough to actually win games. And it's not like they're a FA destination any time soon. I can see it

It’s a solid team. I read somewhere that we could be looking at Brook Lopez too with the MLE. I wonder if we could convince Schroeder to take the BAE because I also like:

    DLO / Schroeder
    Reaves / Max
    Lebron / Vando
    AD / Rui
    Lopez / TT

I think our interest in Lopez is legit, especially with Ham. That said, I think that's a better chance Kyrie ends up a Laker. Lopez just isn't leaving a situation and team he likes, on a team with an easier path to the Finals if there's no financial benefit. If he leaves, he's going to Texas (HOU or SA) for the bag.

Sure we could go the cap space route for him, but you don't gut your roster for Brook at this point in his career.

I think it’s pipe, but Brook would be my favorite rumor the Lakers have been tied to so far.

He’s the perfect fit for this team’s construction if we bring most of the team back.

Lopez likely gets 20 per for at least 2 years in Houston.

    Follow up from Stein

Scary because if Brown was our guy and we miss, what next? If he's not our target, who is? It's a thin FA market and there's limited amalgamations there.

That is fantastic. Their big fish didn't want to go there because the idiot kid opened his mouth on a pod. Now the Beard is in position to go team up with the host of that very podcast.

Regarding Brown, it’s working, his using our name is gonna get him paid by Indiana. What we do with the MLE if so I hope is something unexpected, but it was also tweeted we may split it between Dennis and Gordon, which is… not great.

As far as Harden goes, that kid probably did them a favor, they’re building something solid there, all Harden would do is come in and take all the shots and start getting people traded away and then demand a trade himself. Harden, KD, and Kyrie are all pathetic with how fickle and never happy they are, always want to go somewhere else, never happy if the road to winning isn’t easy and their teams aren’t stacked.

    Buha on All Access

    The new stuff from him

Lonnie: both parties have interest, but thinks he goes elsewhere for more money and/or minutes (opportunity not there with our backcourt)

DS: last he heard, we're not looking to split the MLE on him. Keeping him would be for the BAE or the min + raises

Vet min names he's heard: Reddish, Yuta

Mo: has interest in returning if they can make it work financially

I hope the Clippers get Harden. Massive L's to be tossed around all season.
