    With some of those teams’ draft picks, doesn’t appear to be much of a market for DLo. Could argue Jazz and Spurs have a need, but Jazz didn’t appear to want DLo at the deadline and I just don’t picture Pop being in love. Should be a path to getting a team friendly deal done.

    Gets to try Wembanyama out 2nd Summer League game in Sacramento. Let’s see those defensive chops. What’s 6 inches …. you can do it. :rock: :D

    @LTLakerFan,
    How come you haven't started a thread for our new pet cat Castleton yet? This kid is going to be strong on the boards for us.

    Watched the draft late on time shift and then just had phone while finishing off the evening streaming with my lovely wife. So haven't really checked out the clips yet. But early comments sound really good. Then again he doesn't have Huff's height and weight and seemingly similar rim protection, or maybe was better in some areas defense or offense? Still don't get WTF they were looking for in a 3rd / 2nd string Big when we were unhappy with what our 2 reserve bigs were giving us last year on D.

    Listening to Aaron Larsuel on Irwin's draft recap show.

    Larsuel said the Indy deal (Turner, Hield) was not on the table. There were 4 or so teams that called when we were on the clock, but nothing discussed was something you'd trip over the team passing on.

    Yeah it seems like if the Indy deal was there it would’ve been done when we traded the 47 pick for 40 with them. That’s what I figured. No good deal to make so we kept the 17 and I’m fine with that.

    You are absolutely right that this belongs in the Dlo thread, so just i'll just say this.......

    Id rather keep Dlo and build off of last season then making more trades for more players that may end up like Beasley. You can say alot of things about Dlo but he started for us in the playoffs and had some great games and wins. I'd rather not go back to the the figuring out stages of new players and hope they can play with AD. For Dlo, hes proven he can play with and start next to Bron and AD and win us games if either star is out.

    With that said, finding a trade for Beasley and Bamba to get a center or backup pg to replace DS could be a good option with Dlo staying put as starting pg of the LA Lakers.

    Interesting wording from Woj

    Wonder if Houston offers the bag to Middleton to see what happens.

    Or if they'll go to Lopez with $18-20m + a some $30m FA.

    To tell you the truth I watched a 3-4 minute highlight compilation of him earlier today and I was Unimpressed Squirrel on him compared to Huff’s highlights last year. Jay’s lob game, even better rebounding, blocks at the rim, legit 7’1” and probably 270 or more pounds, jumped a lot higher with that extra height to block shots, ran well for a guy his size and was knocking down some 3s. What a dumb move for unknown reasons to let him get away. He worked hard, got stronger and better and is IMO a much higher impact big man.

    :SadPau2:

    Here we have freakishly tall and skilled but skinny Wenbayama now in the league going to block everything and shoot over most everyone and we let Huff at 7’1” get away who could have contested some and pulled him away from the rim with his improving deep touch and put a damn big body on him …. same as letting Brook that magnificent even bigger beast in the photo right above stooopidly get away years back.

    Huff should have taken more showers, maybe? Let’s give this new kid a chance.

    What other choice do we have? Skinny Bamba who we may not even keep.
