Yeah just the fact that we're getting a second meeting means he liked us enough... for a second meeting. We still probably don't get him, but I don't see any negativity around this. Nothing bad will come from it unless we miss out on Robin Lopez/Tobias Harris this afternoon.
I don't think that's the case at all. These are professionals with agents who wouldn't want their clients to waste time if the Lakers weren't an option. I know I wouldn't and I'm the nicest guy around! I'm telling you guys this is a good sign. Also, don't trust everything you read from Woj. It seems like his opinion regarding the 2nd meeting and not fact.
Wont get my hopes up this time I think if i keep my expectations low and we somehow make something happen it will be easier on my emotions
That agent also has other clients and pissing off the Lakers isn't good for that agents future clients / $$$. Who am I kidding? None of them were gonna sign here anyway.

Especially if we keep Aldridge away from a freshly gutted San Antonio, Dallas, and Phoenix. Obviously I'm REALLY doubtful we make it happen, but that's just GOT to be what Mitch brings to this meeting just to have a shot at it.
We shouldn't get our hopes up. For basketball reasons (heh) the Lakers still aren't the best fit for what LMA wants.....a ring. This is still good because it shows we are a legitimate destination even after putting up the worst record in franchise history.

It could be a meeting to say sorry, but they could do that anytime (Silently) after his signs elsewhere. If news leaks that, that second meeting was nothing but a pity party, IMO, that's worse than before. I'm just being optimistic because we literally have nothing to be happy about in FA.

Yeah it's still an incredible long-shot for this to go down, but hey at least a second meeting is a good sign. Hopefully Harris and Lopez hold on until after the meeting before signing anything.

Technically, not yet. It's only an agreement. Players can't sign until July 8-9 so it could still work.
