curious to see the protections. if they're unprotected swaps, they could be very high picks.

My jaw was on the floor seeing those pics and swaps going to WA.

The Suns might have crippled themselves for a decade for a player that’s constantly injured.

I definitely did not see the Poole for CP3 trade coming! Surprise, but on further reflection it does make some sense. Gets rid of the elephant in the room between him and Draymond who they are obviously sticking with. Gets rid of that ugly contract for a guy who underachieved. Adds a vet ring chaser supreme who can give them some help. Good on Washington to get something for CP3.

Overall, I like it for us as others have said because it probably means Green is off the table for Lebron and us (thankfully). Also makes GS older. That window is closing rapidly. I would have taken CP3 for vets minimum or a small contract but glad we won't be trading for him!

The C Bags deal is idiotic to me. No way they should have given up Smart for the Zinger. That's terrible. Sucks because they just made Memphis better so we have to deal with that. But I'm less worried about the C Bags getting chip 18 before us now.

So …. this new GM seems to be a real Mensa?

OK @lakerjones explains above me what the goals might have been. They did get rid of Poole’s horrible contract.

The pick swaps are better than first rounders from Miami or some other contending teams: Miami always seems at least decent. Phoenix is going to be trapped in this roster with no picks, second apron restrictions on FA. Durant is old and Beal is also 30 and been injury prone. I like this move by the Wizards.

Does this indicate Memphis may have 2nd thoughts on keeping Morant?

how do Smart and him fit together once Ja is back?

At this point, I'm not sure how much the Grizzlies improved. They'll miss Jones.

Agreed. Phoenix can implode real fast. Good for us Division wise. This could get ugly.

Eh. I don’t know about that but I guess we will see. He will definitely get the green light in DC but going from potentially being the next big thing in the Bay to the perpetual mess in DC is a downgrade.

Guys got a lot of money so he’s fine and my post was very tongue in cheek but yeah. For the team to pick an aging Draymond over him says a lot to me.

Chris Paul for 30 million jeesh. The word around here, was that he was only worth the minimum, but now that's some kind of good trade for Golden State?

I mean yeah..Poole sucked against us, but D'Angelo sucked even worse against Denver. Yet we should be happy to bring D'Angelo back?

IDK..We have the oldest player in the League next year in Lebron, and an injury prone AD..but we are talking about the Suns potential "injury concerns " with all this glee?

I'm hoping that we have a big night at the Draft..We have our own issues IMO..it's going to be a wild offseason.

Folks, it may be quiet but something is definitely brewing. LAL sees this as their last dance.

Agreed. The "lightyears" ahead comment is looking a little suspect in GS right now. They're keeping a declining Draymond, who will cost some significant cheddar, over a draft gem they found and paid. And replacing that "gem" with a guy who is basically 20 years deep and always injured speaks volumes.

I think the front office will be able to make something happen. It’s clear there are some fire sales going on around the league right now. I think chance to nab another young guy who’s ready to break out and / or a solid vet will present itself.

I think the Warriors are banking on Poole looking a lot different without Steph and Klay out there and I lean toward them being right about that. We will see though.
