    We all know that if he were taking a second meeting with any other team there would be no negative spin on it at all. It's clear the first presentation was far from a home run, but the fact that he is meeting with us again is a good thing especially with our other options dwindling down.

    I thought early on that we had an advantage SA didn't. Youth. Not that LMA wants to play with them but that we could arrange a sign and trade with Portland that nets LMA another year and more $$.

    I wonder if that is what is going on behind the scenes? Maybe he wasn't interested in us unless it was for an additional year.

    Who knows but that is a potential scenario and we do have Randle who would be somewhat redundant at the PF spot. Portland at least gets something. Maybe we are absorbing some crap contracts and arranging other moves is why it's taking a while.

    You are making too much sense and I'm trying to think of something to counter but can't. Also the fact that he canceled his meeting with the Knicks, there has to be something going on here right? I need that SOMETHING to hold onto.

    I hope you're wrong but I could definitely see it. All the negativity floating around the 1st meeting reflects just as poorly on the Aldridge Agent and his camp, exuding unprofessionalism and the inability to keep things in house. This meeting might be a way for them to save face and reputation for future negotiations, be it with Aldridge or any other clients.
