Didn’t they just trade 29 and 32 to Denver?

I think that tweet is playing a little fast and loose with the quote from The Athletic.

I'm assuming it's from Buha's piece I posted on the last page. Here's what Buha said with regards to us possibly moving the pick for an established vet
So, I don't take that as a guaranteed package, the same way I wouldn't assume DFS AND Royce would be a package.

    sorry: our 2029 pick. though i'd do vando/beasley/bamba/17/protected 2029 1st for turner/hield/26

yeah, i've said repeatedly that i think turner's off the block.

Yeah I think that report is saying Hield or Turner, not both. But I’m probably not trading the 17th for Hield, the market has corrected, Beal went for one first, I think Porzingis went for 1. Brogdon went for none, and I’d personally class Heild and Brogdon in the same player tier.

Yeah, I don't see a way to get both Turner and Hield. It's really hard to match their salaries. Bamba/Beasley wouldn't be enough we'd have to include Vando. I think Hield by himself is a more realistic target.

I can see Beasley and 17 for Hield and 26 or something. I wouldn't trade a first, only swap.

And CP probably won't play a single game there, despite what they're threatening. They're one of the most player friendly teams out there (through different regimes even) , look at them cave for both Russ and Beal. If CP wants to go to a contending team... and he does, they'll let him go.

They'll probably lose Kuz, no sense of paying him during a rebuild.

Brutal time for the 3 Wizards fans out there.

Dorian Finney Smith would be a nice add: his +/- numbers are very good. You can plug and play him to guard 1-3. Good size, Good shooting.

Fits into the KCP model of a roleplayer: would be a great fit in an AD/Lebron/Rui/Reaves finishing lineup as an example. Or if Max takes a leap you can go with a three SG lineup and just switch everything but still stretch the floor.

Man if they can snag Mason Plumlee via FA and add DFS: Lakers could have a historic defense next year even with DLo starting

What's brutal is they are doing the right thing just a year late - this upcoming draft is supposed to suck and you missed a chance at Wemby?

I know it's not true but sometimes I feel like Dillon Brooks and Jae Crowder are sort of the same person. Total A-holes!

The Wizards waiting until now to Tank instead of tanking for a shot at Wemby is definitely a choice.

LOL …. please let Slick be correct here once in one of his major opinion crusades against pretty much everyone. (not this one). A win here would have him batting for the past couple months around .250. :giggle: ;) But this would make sense if we don’t have to give up too much. Hopefully.

That’s just some guy posting what he hopes to hear tomorrow. I hope it happens too, that trade would be huge for us, but I don’t see why Indy would want those pieces and one pick for Turner and Hield when Turner is now on a team friendly deal and had a great year for them. I’m sure they’d do it for Hield alone, but I wouldn’t.

Get in there Rob. Beasley/Bamba/Gabriel/17 for Porzingis with a handshake agreement that CP3 gets bought out.

CP3 for the minimum to LA. We re-sign DLo, Reaves, Hachi. Schroder for the MLE.

    CP3/Schroder
    Reaves/DLo
    Lebron/Vando/Christie
    Porzingis/Rui
    AD

that’s 10 deep, multiple players capable of being a point guard to load manage CP3. Vando and Rui are capable players to keep Lebrons minutes down as well.

AD and Porzingis can be staggered to load manage both.

Fill out the roster with roleplayers that fit, especially at center depth. Players like Dwight as a defensive option against Jokic, a big man that’s deadly from 3, and another 3 and D wing and we are ready to hang a banner.
