I think the reality is that all of us that have seen what AD is capable of, and what he did not do this year (Full Year) and were disappointed, he had front row seats to see up close and personal. He didn't like it. He didn't see the fire. AD did not step up against Denver. Is it the extra weight? Was he just not himself carrying a few extra pounds and could not act on what he wanted to do effectively? I don't know, but it's pretty silly for a soon to be 39 year old guy letting this stuff get out. What do you really expect your team to do? Trade the younger superstar? GOH.

I just flat out don't believe that LeBron wants to move on from AD.

Gonna be interesting seeing what deals actually do materialize. I feel like Portland is about to make the wrong choice. They've gone as far as they can with Dame. They should be looking to draft their next star and move on.

not a pina fan, but i like this idea:

i like this deal for both teams. simmons gets a chance out of the spotlight with zero expectations and a blank roster slate. if he can't regain his mojo in that circumstance, it's over. thomas and simons are capable scorers, and sharpe can be given a bigger role right away. i actually think portland could be entertaining.

bkn basically becomes the best version of portland, but in the east. i like the defenders they can put around lillard more than what portland's done, though.

Slow media day? Newsflash: AD is not going anywhere. The guy’s defense this post season was otherworldly, Bill Russell-esque. Yes his disappearance on offense seemingly every other game was frustrating for everyone. But he’s a monster when on. Give us some slight tweaks in the roster this summer and we should be ready to go.

That salary cap update is good news.

bilas likes a guy with length?

feel like brown has to get full MLE offers from all over, and the nuggets may actually not be able to even match it because they don't have bird rights and would have to use the MLE, which hardcaps them under what he would cost, if that makes sense.

iow, he gone. good luck replacing him.

i mentioned zinger when i saw the clips thinking of moving morris and covington for cp, and i was thinking that if we wanted to take a big swing...

i'm anti-porzingis in general, but if he opts in to his last year, it doesn't really affect the rest of our roster building. that's in a perfect world, though. in the real world, he would cost us much more than bamba/beasley. if not (meaning jeanie decides to spend), i'd consider it. also depends on who falls to 17.

trent opting in interested me for this reason as well. would toronto do a lotto-protected future 1st and trent for 17 and beasley, for example?

DFS for 17/beasley would be cool, too, but not sure bkn does it.

if the clips trade for him, fine. if paul chooses the clips over us, i don't like it. one too many high profile guys picking the wrong team.

good to read russell's salary is slotted near 20. that's totally reasonable, imo. 2/40 would be awesome, but i'd go more years on a number that low if that's what it took. the primary goal is to keep next year's payroll down a bit. once lebron's off the books, it won't matter as much, as that will be the end of the contention window for at least a year or two.

With the first and second tax aprons being a little higher than expected, as well as Buha saying we're looking at Beasley + Bamba trades, are we actually going to keep both of the Beasley and Bamab salary slots and pay DLO? I'd love if that was the case, I'd just figured they'd decline one of Beasley or Bamba if DLO was back/signed and traded.

I would think so. With Brogdon's injury history you probably want Russ as your other PG instead of CP3.
